Any suggestions?
Bongos and 99% of the rest of MazzleUI works fine for me on Vista, having updated with WAU before running the Mazzifier. As I wanted to walk a friend through an installation I wrote a post on exactly how I did it. Hope it helps!

Ok.. having an issue with Windows Vista and MazzleUI.

It seems that Bongos is broken. I've finally gotten the computer to run thru the full mazzify. And it does it smoothly each time now. My buddy discovered that Windows Vista keeps backups that it refers to in c:\users\<user name>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\world of warcraft.

After deleting the info stored there and in the regular wow folder we did a fresh install, patched, WAU and Mazzified. Bongos gives the error messages:

[2007/10/16 14:15:45-7-x5]: MazzleUI-1.1\MazzleUI_Frames.lua:578: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)
MazzleUI-1.1\MazzleUI_Frames.lua:578: in function `UpdateBarPositions'
MazzleUI-1.1\MazzleUI_Frames.lua:632: in function `RegenerateBars'
<string>:"*nMouseUp":2: in function <[string "*nMouseUp"]:1>

And afterwards you are left with a single action bar in a default looking position that you can move and modify but you are unable to get the other bars to become visibile through Bongos Option panel.

Also, looking at the Layout-cache.txt, the only BActionBar<#> (ie: BActionBar1) listed is number 1.

I've run through the install on numerous computers with either Win2K or XP on them and not had any issues other than the occasional bug sack report about Auto Loot messing up. Vista seems to be a whole nother animal..

Any suggestions?

First, let me say that I LOVE MazzleUI. THank you. We have three WOW accounts on three different computers in the house and they all have Mazzle. We, also, have had problems with the task bar suddenly either changing to all the same icon or, sometimes, the icons look normal.. but they all cast the same spell. This is new since the latest patch. When it happens we have to log out of WOW, log back in and then re-mazzify. Simply reloading the UI doesn't work. It doesn't seem to have a trigger. Everything will work fine for hours.. then suddenly the buttons change (or whatever). It isn't restricted to any particular circumstance (i.e. fighting or learning new spells).
We make due because I can't go back to "life before Mazzle"... and I realize you are working hard on getting everything fixed, but I just wanted to let you know that that guy isn't the only one having issues with the taskbar acting strange. I have upgraded before (and had to reinstall before as well due to new computers coming into the picture) and I have never had any issues, so I don't think it's an issue with the user doing something wrong. Or... maybe it is and we BOTH did the same thing wrong.. who knows?
Thanks again.

Shadowbolt!!!!!

I've been reading Mazzle Forum since the patch, and this is my story.

1. After "patch day" Meio was nice enuff to create his own patch (thank you) and I downloaded it. It looked like it worked, but I did the video options wrong and I couldn't fix it after mazzifying.

2. So I did a clean install of Mazzle 1.1 and then downloaded Mazzle 1.1.1 patch, then I downloaded the new WAU patch...udated with that....AND IT WORKED!!!!

3. Then I started to play the game...it worked fine untill about 1 hour in. Then every action button became Shadowbolt! The icons didn't change, and clicking and hotkeys fired shadowbolt!

What did I do wrong?

Indeed you were right mazz, i clearly did not do it right, so i deleted the interface and the wtf, and fonts folder's and re downloaded a fresh new install of mazzle version 1.1 and then downloaded the patch version 1.1.1.

the thing that got me of track i when i read copy over all files and folder's i thought it would be gone, but when i did it again i just re read what it said, and then i click copy over all file's which means the only one's that were inside the folder named the same.

for other's that might not understan when you download the quick fix make sure you go inside your interface folder and copy over the addon's. meio stated to change the folder to the folder to another name like (Addons old) etc, thats where i got confused.

after re reading his post it was only for version 1.1 that meio was talking about so i wanna say sorry on that issue, thank you for your help guy's it look's like it mazzy time again.

If you are on a Mac, you have to merge the contents of the Base install with the patch. One quick way to do this is to launch Terminal (located in /Applications/Utilities).

1) Copy the base Addons into your interface directory just like the directions say
2) If you download the patch and have it on your desktop (it will appear in ~/Desktop/AddOns/)
3) You can launch Terminal to do all the synchronization for you with the following one liner, please cut paste it so you don't screw up the / \ stuff:
rsync -va ~/Desktop/AddOns/ /Applications/World\ of\ Warcraft/Interface/AddOns

It's basically: rsync -va SOURCE DESTINATION.
You can google rsync for more info.
rsync -va tells it to synchronize the two directories, the va tells it to do it verbosely so it will dump out what it's doing.

The ~ tells it that you want to use your currently logged in user home directory, in that directory is a folder called Desktop that represents the contents of your desktop.

The /Applications..... stuff is the path to your addons folder inside the WoW folder. / represents directories, the \ represents the fact that you have space in the name, so it tells Terminal that you're not done with the command, you just have a space.

Hope that helps.
