NEW AND IMPROVED!!!
(Actually just a slight change, see below.... and I always wanted to say that )
How to check to see if you have downloaded everything required!!!
Because a LOT of people are having a hard time knowing if they did everything right, I'll give a list of things to check for to know you done or possibly missing a step.
1. In your Interface\Addons folder you should have 221 folders after getting Mazzle 1.11, my Addon Pack, and the Fix file I have available. If you do not have this number of folders, you have either not used the new MazzleUI 1.11 Core file along with my Addon Pack, or you have additional addons not used for MazzleUI. Please do not ask me for assistance for fixing Mazzle if you are using addons that are not included in these downloads.
2. The file Interface\AddOns\Mazzifier\Mazzifier_Configs.lua should be exactly 121,529 bytes in size. If this is not the case, you have forgotten to update with the Fix file I have provided (link is below in the steps I have listed).
3. The file Interface\AddOns\gfxToggle2\gfxToggle2.lua should be exactly 27,182 bytes in size. If you have already ran a Fix for Mazzle and THIS file isn't the correct size, then you are using the wrong Fix file! Use the one I have specified if you are using my Addon Pack, no other one is going to be supported by me.
4. After steps 1-4 below (MazzleUI 1.11 Core, my Addon Pack, and my MazzleUI Fix file, but NOT the BC Spells file), and before you open WoW for the first time (no Blizzard UI folders should exist yet) your Interface folder should be EXACTLY 72,196,014 bytes in size.
If you have met all these conditions, you most likely have done everything correctly with extracting the files out. If not, read the steps below more carefully and start over. Rename your Interface and WTF folders, redownload the files I have linked below, and use my steps exactly as I have stated. If you can show me that you have checked things this closely, I'll be much more likely to spend some time solving your problems.
This is a fairly complicated set of steps to follow compared to installing most other Addons, but definitely easier than most other compilations where you have to rename files and move things around. Please, if you are going to use the files I put together, read these steps fully!
Steps for installing MazzleUI with my Addon Pack are as follows:
1. Rename your current Interface and WTF folders (your current settings *SHOULD* work, but for added compatibility I'm going with Blizzard's approach to starting fresh with settings)
2. Download the MazzleUI 1.11 Core download as provided by Mazzlefizz and extract the folders to the WoW directory
3. Download THIS MazzleUI-compatible compilation (the page you are on) and extract it to the WoW directory too
4. Download my MazzleUI Fix (fix for MazzleUI and gfxToggle2, not for any other mod from the original compilation) This step is MANDATORY! Make note not to skip it!
5. OPTIONAL: Download the BC Spells patch from Hoonsy and extract the files into the Mazzifier addon directory
6. Start up WoW and login
7. Set your resolution to whatever you so choose
8. Run /mazzify (if it's not already opened up)
9. Run a "Complete" Mazzification
You shouldn't have to use WAU after using my addon pack either, not yet anyhow. The addons have been updated as of 11/15 at about 6am EST. Yes, later on you may need to update, but this is an unneeded step for now.
Note - Mac users will need to extract the files from the Mazzifier and MazzleUI folders individually (these are the only pre-existing folders that should be in place at this time).
About this Addon Pack
This is a MazzleUI-compatible compilation, including all the addons that are required for Mazzle to function with the EXCEPTION of Mazzle's addons and the customized version of Bongos and an older version of gfxToggle included with MazzleUI.
Changes to Original MazzleUI 1.1:
Updated Discord Unitframes (from http://discord.tetzfiles.com/)
Updated DeadlyBossMods (including some new modules)
Updated OmniCC (didn't include OmniCC_Options)
Updated SW_Stats
Updated Lightheaded
Updated Fizzwidget Disenchant Predictor
Updated Fizzwidget Hunter's Helper
Updated KLH ThreatMeter
Updated Fubar_Auto_LootFu (Apparently not being maintained on WoWAce.com)
Updated Fubar_CombatInfoFu (A very old update to fix a tooltip problem)
Updated SmartBuff (didn't include SmartDebuff from the same update)
Updated rMCP
Updated ALL Ace2 mods WITHOUT externals (with the exception of Autobar and AutobarConfig) - this includes MANY addons, enough I won't be listing the updated ones here
Removed Fizzwidget Trackmenu
Included is a compilation of addons to make sure people can use a fully up-to-date collection of addons that are used by the MazzleUI compilation. Note that this does NOT include MazzleUI addons and you will need to download the (most likely available soon) MazzleUI-only 1.1 download and then extract THIS file on top of it to patch the files for WoW 2.3.
This is sort of an all inclusive update for the mods used. As you can see above, a lot of addons were updated to the most recent versions. I have tested as many as possible to make sure they both work with WoW 2.3 and with Mazzifier. So far I have had VERY few errors, even getting rid of that annoying error with Fubar_Auto_LootFu (ok, so it only bothers me... -.-).
Also, if you find an addon that has been updated that I haven't updated for my compilation, just list it here and I'll do what I can to incorporate it in where possible (some addons I won't be including, such as Bongos2 as that very well may have MANY changes to settings and how it functions in general that aren't compatible with Mazzifier's way of setting options).
Fixing the "Looking at $ut" messages of Discord Unitframes (DUF)
You most likely will also have to fix DUF's target names, per character, so it doesn't say "$ut" everywhere. Information on how to change that is here: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...&postcount=177
This fix should not be needed any longer as I have put it into my Fix file. If you are still having problems after applying my Fix, then you need to re-Mazzify, making sure to apply settings for DUF (make sure you enable "Addon Settings" on the first page).
Fixing TinyTip Errors
Thanks to Argent71 for pointing out the problem that TinyTip is having. Apparently the author of TinyTip doesn't like to use Ace2 conventions in regards to the external libraries it uses. Instead of putting external libraries in a Libs folder, it just places them directly in the folder of the addon (instead of TinyTipExtras\libs\TipLib-1.0 they just use TinyTipExtras\TipLib-1.0). As such, I missed a required library. To fix this, go here and extract into your Addons folder. This should fix your errors and you can leave TinyTipExtras enabled if you'd like.
This fix should not be needed any longer as I have put it into my Fix file. If you are still having problems after applying my Fix, ensure that TipLib is enabled in your Addons list.
Thanks to Mazzlefizz for talking about how to make the easiest to implement fully updated compilation!
Changelog:
Version 3.51 - Removed an EXE and its supporting DLL file as a result of WoWI policies changing regarding executable files in uploads. Thanks go out to the assclowns that think it's funny to release viruses/worms/trojans and say it's a valid addon for WoW. -.- Not bitter at WoWI, totally understand, but Osama I know you're behind this and I'm coming for you.... oh wait, AV queue is up, you'll have to wait.
Version 3.5 - Fixed a problem with Chronometer not working correctly as a result of a new version of Hourglass causing conflicts. Reverted to old version of Hourglass, assigned it an SVN tag to prevent future problems (it had an SVN tag previously, but all the other ones seem to update and function without error - only Autobar and Hourglass are now SVN'd). Cleaned up a handful of libraries that are no longer used.
Version 3.1 - Removed the Fonts folder as it is included in the MazzleUI 1.11 Core download. And it's redundant. And repeats itself too.
Version 3 - Fixed a TON of library dependency problems. Had many dependencies I didn't even notice because even after setting it default to not getting deps, the WoWAceUpdater still decided it wanted some.... that is until Mazzle told me to use the Auto Dep Finder option
Archived Versions - DeTard's WoW 2.3 Add-On Pack for MazzleUI
Anyways yeah i tried re-installing ti once again i get to update everything except the Add-Ons Selection and the Add-Ons Settings then i hit Mazzify me the next Button dont show up
ok I did something to the wow i have on my back up hard drive and now i have the regular blizzard button bar over my mazzle bars... how do i get rid of it? there are some other issues as well... here is whats in my bug sack
[2008/04/10 19:45:47-740-x1]: GFW_TrackMenu-2.1.1\TrackMenu.lua:328: attempt to index global 'MiniMapTrackingFrame' (a nil value)

After patch all seemed fine, just loaded out of date addons and upgraded the ones I needed. But then I accidently changed something because I was making UI for an alt... I got round buttons which I hate cant see ****
But the mazzifier doesnt pop the second button so I am stuck.
So I tried fresh install, again no second button on mazzifier
Hi all - hoping someone other than me is still having some difficulty....just to note this is Tues 4/1/08 ~10:00PM EDT.....but this is not a Fool's Day Post sadly....
I have done all as described by Detard-downloading the various patches/fixes, etc, with the exception of Hoonsy's BC spells addition...and when i go to mazzify, little Mazzle says, in her nice little gnomish voice....
"FATALITY!"
And the final button to finish the mazzlification does not pop up. Leaving me stuck, reading the Proust quote over & over, pondering how hard it will hurt if I ram my head into my LCD, or if it will feel squishy.....
I've been using Mazzle for quite a long time now, and have never had that happen before. I am not using any other mods until I get this problem figured out. I have checked, and I believe that all the file sizes and numbers are correct, as is also recommended when there is a problem.
However, if no one else is having this problem, then no one will see this and I will have to return to the boring WoW UI. Please don't let me go back there!!
im not sure if the current author of Mazzle will get this here, but here it goes... 2.4 made it to where i had to impliment alot of self updates outside of aceupdater, and now the Mazzlefier seems to be broke, im not sure if this is because of Lua changes with 2.4 but once you go through all the selection options in the mazzlefier and you click mazzlefy me! it only processes phase 1 and then acts as if it were done, but the bars and such are still F-ed up. i dont know how to fix this or if its just as simple as redownloading the whole package again.
Theory 1: i broke it by updated the mods by myself
Theory 2: Blizz broke it with the Lua changes
*shrug*
Also some things id like to see implemented in your ooo so awsome complilation:
Omen: Omen > KTM imo....but thats me, and i see alot of these skin based compilation with the threat meter in it own little area near the other information...top left corner doesnt cut it for me and if i put it else where i always have to move it cause it blocks another mod...i NEED to see this info...i pewpew to hard.
Recount: 100% more accurate then Damage Meters or SWS... on this once again it will be a possitioning thing, recap it set to default for top right corner, SWS is set for just above the combat log area, seemingly when i put my recount there it block my "floating bars" w/e that mod is called (the one you can hide at a click of a button)
other then these minor thing your compilation is facking extreme, i will continue to follow this until it dies..if it does. Keep up the breathe taking work on this - Hynder Arthas Server - Paste Eaters FOR LIFE!
In the subsciption how i wil have to install it is mentioned that i should extract it to the wow directory is this :C/ Programs / world of Warcraft
or c/ programs /world of warcraft / interface
after i first hit the mazzify button
this error happens
Code:
[2008/01/24 02:41:53-4-x2945]: DiscordUnitFrames\DUF_Element.lua:524: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
<string>:"*:OnUpdate":1: in function <[string "*:OnUpdate"]:1>
it keeps making the same error for as long as you dont hit the second mazzify button
when you hit the second button the ui reloads and you get basically the default ui with 3 fubar options on the top and 5 errors
1.
Code:
!!MazzleUI_Preloader\Mods\AMP.lua:2: attempt to index global 'AMPFrame' (a nil value)
!!MazzleUI_Preloader\Preloader.lua:5: in function <interface\Addons\!!MazzleUI_Preloader\Preloader:4>

you cannot remazzify or use any of the addons
the only way to remazzify is to exit wow and start it again
mazzle was working fine when i had first logged in i played for about 3 hours logged out to the character selection screen came back 2 minutes later and it got the interface\framexml error
Originally posted by mo5cagn On the first instruction I hung up. I am denied renaming the Interface & WTF folders. I did a repair utility on them and now a string is added to the folder name. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I suspect not.
u can delete them if u like, and if u have wow open it wont let u..

The latest download could be implemented i suppose (if needed ofcourse)
Hoping the ui will stay as great as it is. and maybe even get better.
I think Omen should be put in here, as it seems to be used more often than KL threatmeter nowadays.

Thank you
[edit] PS also the CASTING BAR, how do I move that?
the small icon at the bottom left is smartbuff, just disable it in your addon list. as for the casting bar, try /quartz.
Originally posted by pacmanpc i installed the ui EXACTLY as the instructions state and the chronometer anchor still will not appear and no matter what i try i cannot get it to appear so i can move it.
