Combuctor is a bag replacement addon designed to help the player find things in his or her's inventory as quickly and as easily as possible.

Included Addons

Combuctor - The main addon. Provides a replacement for both the bank and bag frames
Combuctor_Config - A load on demand configuration window
Combuctor_Sets - A default set of categories
Bagnon_Forever - Optional, stores inventory data about your characters so that you can view it later
Bagnon_Tooltips - Optional, adds ownership date to item tooltips

Using Combuctor

Filtering

The side filters should be fairly self explanatory. Click to filter to items that match the named category. When you click on a side filter, the bottom tabs will change to allow even finer control
Near the bottom left of the screen are filters for quality. Click the color of quality you want to show
Text searching: The filtering matches by name ("healing potion"), type ("axe"), and equip location ("chest")

Showing the bank and bag frames

The bank and bag frames are integrated into the interface by default. You can also set a keybinding for both of them in the keybindings menu.
/cbt bank toggles the bank, and /cbt bags will toggle the inventory window

Viewing the data of other characters

Character viewing requires that you have Bagnon_Forever installed (included in the download) and that you have logged onto a character with Bagnon_Forever installed.
To view the items of another character, simply click on your portrait and select the character you want to view from the dropdown

This would be much appreciated, myself as well as many othes use Altoholic and alot of my compilation users have asked for this feature.. so I relayed it to you as a feature request.

It's my favourite bag addon, and that's the only thing I can think of to make it even better. Some consumables belong in the scap category, for example. No idea how hard that would be to implement, though. Sorry if this has been answered already.

I had tried something like that on a friend's reccomendation, but I think I ended up removing more generalized .luas instead of the combuctor specific ones, so of course that hadn't worked. The way you explained was dummy proof.

Did you make sure to delete the saved variables .lua and .lua.bak file as well? These files are what preserves settings in most cases.

Combuctor stores it's variables files similar to this (slightly modfied for those on vista)

C:\Program Files\World Of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNTNAME\Saved Variables

In there you should see 2 files that need to be deleted

Combuctor.lua
Combuctor.lua.bak

If those files are removed and then Combuctor has to be updated again those bagnon files are then redownloaded and then another update would also redownload the full addon for bagnon. not a really big deal but annoying you have to keep deleting bagnon everytime there is an update. anyways, just a fyi __________________

However the Projectile category displays ammunition fine. I'm also unsure of what the Trade tab is for, though that's another matter. The Trade Goods category works fine.

Unfortunately, as with all things, there's a problem (at least for my install). Sometimes (kind of rare) when I go to the bank teller and open my bank window, I cannot move or remove any of the items in the slots. It acts the same way that opening you're bank window does when you're NOT at the bank. Displays it all, but cannot be touched. However, the weird thing is, I can ADD items from my bags to the bank slots, and once over there, I can remove those items (but I cannot move them to a different slot). Also, if I have say, 3 stacks of Eternal Fires in my bank window, and I right click on 2 Eternal Fires in my bag window. The 2 Eternals will stack on top of the 3 Eternals, and then I can remove them from my bank. Whenever this bug occurs, that is the only method for removing items from my bank. I've heard someone else mention this problem as well on the Curse.com comments and they seem to think it is something to do with Altoholic. I'm going to try and replicate it, but it doesn't happen very often. Please let me know if you can replicate, or know what's going on. Again, thank you very much.

Its a replacement for Bagnon_Forever that pulls info from Armory.

Can this be done with Altoholic as well??

You likely want to look at the trade bags tab. From there, you can hover over bags to spot individual items.

The amount of time all of you spend on making, updating, and posting not to mention sorting though our questions and wish lists must be staggering. All that brownnosing aside I too have a wish list. 1) Would you add a key ring tab/button? I had them set to not show until I had to check if I had a key on this toon. 2) could you add a way of gust looking at one bag? This would help me when digging/sorting though my specialty bags (herb,mining,inscription...) 3) Scaling options. I have a over lap with the Auction House causing me to side my bags from right to left gust to get parts of it. if i could scale it down to about 90% I'd be good Thanks
