Messages are blocked in /say, /yell, emotes, and numbered channels. By default, Unlinked blocks the commonly spammed Thunderfury item link. It can be configured to block additional item links of your choice, as well as block all quest, spell, and/or tradeskill links.
Use /unlinked or /ul with the following commands:
add <item> - add an item to the block list
del <item> - remove an item from the block list
list - list the items currently on the block list
quest - block quest links
spell - block spell links
trade - block tradeskill links
The add and del commands accept either an item ID or an item link.

Change Log - Unlinked
2.4.3.8 (2008-08-13)
Fixed stuff for patch 2.4 (could have sworn I already uploaded this!)
Added option to block quest links
Added support for localization
Added ruRU translations (contributed by XisRaa)
1.1 (2008-03-27)
Added options to block spell and/or tradeskill links
I could have sworn I'd already uploaded the changes for patch 2.4, but apparently not... so here they are. Also new is the ability to block quest links, and full support for localization (although as always Unlinked works in any locale). ruRU translations generously provided by XisRaa. Other locale translations welcome!
From the addon description: Messages are blocked in /say, /yell, emotes, and numbered channels.

Guild chat is not say chat. Guild chat is not yell chat. Guild chat is not emote chat. Guild chat is not numbered channel chat.
Thanks for implementing these changes so quickly, but it seems like spell unlinking is not working, as I saw a guildmate link a skill in gchat just seconds after I enabled the filtering. I haven't tried tradeskill unlinking so I can't comment on that one.
Added options to block spell and tradeskill links. These options are not selective; enabling spell blocking will block all spell links, and enabling tradeskill blocking will block all tradeskill links. Also to clarify (and I've updated the description) Unlinked filters only messages in the say, yell, emote, and channel chat types.
I did not mean tradeskills. I don't know how you've escaped this so far, but one of the new features in 2.4 is the ability to link any regular spell, racial or even talent, like [Attack], [Shoot] (if you can use Wands) or [Mortal Strike] if you are a warrior. Just shift-click anything in your spellbook.
Anyway, people in trade chat think they're being extremely clever by constructing sentences with these newfound toys. I just want to get rid of any chat that includes these since it's most likely pure noise.
Could you be more specific? Do you want to block all skill links? Only specific skill links? In all channels? Only in trade channel?
Unless you have a very convincing argument, though, I'm not particularly inclined to add skill link blocking. Unlinked is meant to block links that are intentionally and pointlessly spammed, like Thunderfury and Dirge. I've never seen anyone post a skill link that wasn't either advertising services, or responding to a specific "what are mats" query. Obviously the latter is not an issue, and I wouldn't want to block it; if I ask someone to link me mats for something, I want to see the mats. The former is generally confined to trade chat, and I don't really see it as a problem. If a specific person is linking a number of tradeskills you feel is excessive, simply ignore them. I don't want to add channel awareness to Unlinked without a very good reason.

Does this also block the links in other languages? Yes, they've gone there on aggramar, sadly.
Is this really a problem? Do people spam this? Sucks because I actually have a Thunderfury :P
