MailNotifier is a small addon that has two purposes: tracking how many unread mails the player has in the inbox and alerting him when new mail is received (plays a sound and flashes the minimap mail button).
Features:
Tracks how many unread mails you have
Alerts the player when new mail is received
Translated in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Korean
No configuration needed
Limitations:
Except when the player visits the inbox, it's impossible to know exactly how many unread mails he has. This is why Mail Notifier can only detect mails received while playing, and by comparing the mail senders list at login (ex: If you have 1 sender when you logout and 3 when you login, obviously you have at least received 2 more mails).

No, it only attempts to track how many unread mails you have and alerts when you receive a new one.
But there are plenty of lightweight mods that can do just that.

That information doesn't help much. The problem may have been caused by an older version which has incorrectly counted the mails before you updated to the new version. And, even if it is caused by a recent bug, that doesn't help to fix it.

Ok, this information is something I can actually use. I will try to see what is causing the bug.
EDIT: I think I've figured it out. A new version is going trough a testing phase.

Yeah, it seems that the mod is counting the number of times you open the mailbox and is displaying that. I discovered this when I saw that it said I had 64 messages, so I closed the mailbox, and when I reopened it, the number ticked up to 65 and the mail sound played. I closed and reopened it a few more times, and every time it would play the sound and increase the number by 1.
