summary

Tracksw is an addon for automatic tracking switching depending on node
data from GatherMate - designed for players with multiple gathering
professions.

features

- supports Find Herbs, Find Minerals, Find Fish and Find Treasure
- stops switching while in combat/dead/in instance/...
- can be set to only work while mounted

description

Tracksw automatically switches your active tracking spell depending on
nearby nodes contained in GatherMate (which is a dependency of Tracksw).

Tracksw has several configurable parameters in order to accommodate
different mount speeds / play styles. It is possible to change the range
at which it 'detects' nodes, how fast it updates and it is possible to
define an angle in front of the player in which it scans (for example
avoiding changing tracking due to a node not in the direct path of the
player).

Because changing the active tracking triggers the global cooldown, it is
possible to switch only once 1.5seconds. In order to work 'around' this
Tracksw has a cluster setting - any node within that range from the
node that triggered a tracking switch will not be considered for a
switch and Tracksw switches to the Tracking with the highes priority
(this is not configurable atm. and is set to Herbs > Minerals > Fish >
Treasure, mainly because Herbs are generally harder to spot). If a new
tracking switch is triggered while the player is on global cooldown from
a previous switch - the new switch is deferred to the moment the global
cooldown ends.

usage

The Tracksw configuration window can be accessed with the /tsw slash
command.

NOTE:
- Tracksw had only limited testing on a 280% speed mount.
- The latest version can be always found at WowAce.

I believe the original author has abandoned it, so I figured I would just fix it myself. The fix is easy, don't be afraid. in the file core.lua locatd in the tracksw folder go to line 237 Change: prad = playerModel:GetFacing(); to prad = GetPlayerFacing(); It works fine after that change and you are back to switching. Enjoy

Naw, you just have to stop being lazy and try things out.

You realize that Gathermate (that Tracksw works with) is fully compatible with Cartographer 2? And that Cartographer 2's gathering modules are both outdated and no longer maintained?

Just install Gathermate, disable Cartographer's gathering modules and you will be set.

For many many reasons. Top of them reasons must be that there's no need for any other addon. And there's a defenant need for Cartographer. So... umm.. can you please (pretty please) make it compatible? SO MANY people would appritiate it mate.

Latest version should support any locale and it should also support druid flight form (but this is untested because i have no druid , so if you can test it i'd appreciate it)
