This is a FuBar/Ace2 Dailies Quest Tracker Addon, that will keep track of the dailies that you have done for the day. If you opt out having FuBar it'll attach itself to the Mini-Map. All libraries are included.
If you have Cartographer Waypoints or TomTom installed, you can also click on a Quest Giver in the World Map and a wapoint will be created for you.
The world map will now display with a '!' or '?' blip of daily quest givers for that zone. This can be turned off. (see Screenshot)
There is also a Daily Quest Watcher that will track the dailies your are doing per zone/group. This can be turned off. (see Screenshot)
Alt-Left-Clicking a quest title within a group will switch the Dailies Quest Watcher from zone tracking to that group, Alt-Left-Click a quest in that group again an it'll switch back to zone watching.
You can track multiple toons (Horde/Alliance) on a realm to keep track of dailies done on all of them.
You can display your daily counts through the FuBar icon or text counts.
Checks your professions and will show dailies that only you can do.
Filter out groups you have no interest in watching.
Groups can automatically unfold when you are in the area of the quest.
Clicking on a quest title, will paste the quest link in the chat-box. Also, you can then shift-click on the quest title to show you a waypoint to the quest giver if specific addons are installed.
Shows reputation from factions and will color the faction based on your current standings. And you can choose how to display faction status in the headers.
Show Me the Money! will list all the monetary values of dailies so you can do the ones that give you the most gold.
If you have any announcement addons (Scrolling Combat Text, Blizzard UI, Parrot) you can have it announce to those scrollers.
** UPDATE Version 3.1.4 [BETA] 4/16/9**
Support for Broker (This may not work with all Broker systems)
Updated Astrolabe library for Patch 3.1
Fixed Dailies Quest Watcher with changes to Blizzards Templates
I also have a seperate addon (not released with DQT) for Horde characters that wish to assist with data gathering. Please PM if you are interested. I will only be selecting a few people to help, so if I do not respond to you then I have picked the people. PLEASE DO NOT spam requests to help, I will ignore all requests!
You must be level 80, answer your PM's on a regular basis if I have questions and be precise with how I would like the data gatherered. The mod is by no means perfect, but it gets the job done and some data I may need you jot notes on. This seperate addon maybe updated and which I will need users to install the revised addition. I'm gonna try this out before going ahead to see if this gathering is viable.
Thanks, Fritos
** BUGS/ISSUE First remedy **
IF you have any issues, PLEASE, PLEASE delete your DailiesQuestTracker.lua and DailiesQuestTracker.lua.bak and start fresh before reporting any issues, there are numerous changes from 3.0 to 3.1 and may require a complete fresh install.
Please don't ask about localizations, it's not gonna happen anytime soon.
Change Log - Dailies Quest Tracker
------ ** UPDATE Version 3.1.3 [BETA] 2/11/9**
Added a Keybind to Hide/Show the Dailies Quest Watcher.
Fixed the Dailies Quest Watcher from poking through other frames.
Added an option to automatically hide the Dailies Quest Watcher when there are no dailies in your current zone.
Fixed the shifting of the Dailies Quest Watcher when you have it moved from the minimap.
Fixed the comparing of two nil numbers error.
Added a Dailies Quest Watcher reset under the options menu, this will reset Position/Scale/Transparency and Locked status back to default values.
------ ** UPDATE Version 3.1.2 [BETA] 2/10/9**
Changed the Chat Frame suggestion from Arzach, to see if this may help with some of those nil errors.
Fixed (or should I say, added), the TOMTOM waypoints. Sorry, thought I added those in.
Changed when tradeskills are scanned, so it'll hopefully catch them before the Dailies List is created and populate the tooltip correctly with the correct information.
------ ** UPDATE Version 3.1.1 [BETA] 2/9/9**
Added the ablility to scale and set the transparency for the Dailies Quest Watcher.
Did some further checks for those Chat Frame errors, hopefully this will fix this for those getting these. If not, I'll need to remove this.
------ ** UPDATE Version 3.1 [BETA] 2/7/9**
This is a BETA and some things may not work for all and you may have to delete your saved variables for this mod numerous times during releases while I work through the kinks.
Horde characters, I have not finalized all the dailies for this faction
Also, I have completely removed all localization for this mod so as for now, this mod with ONLY work for ENGLISH clients.
I may at a later time return to localization, but with the current new features I've added, Blizzard has made it extremely hard to localize as the World Map works differently depending on the client.
**When loading the ADDON for the first time**
Everything will be reset to defaults values, if you have dailies in our Quest Log you can still do them like normal and it'll still track when you finish the daily. All other options you have set will be RESET, including tracking all toons.
------- ** UPDATE Version 3.0 11/3/8**
Turned off some debugging and 'Hopefully' fixed the Holiday issues.
------- ** UPDATE Version 3.0 11/2/8**
Control-Left-Click a quest title will now open the quest in the Quest Log frame if you have the quest.
Random Dailies are now saved per day and will reset when the Dailies are reset (This may be wonky, as I don't have a Horde toon. So they may show wrong in some instances, If you use Alliance and Horde with dailies.)
Add a whole slew of WotLK daily stuff, but is not complete yet. (But you can't see it anyways, till you install the X-Pac. Muahahaha)
Removed some Libs (using my own method) and updated some Libs.
Removed the FuBar checks so people not using FuBar should not get errors anymore. (This is cause tooltips to not scale properly, not that I think it will be. Who scales there's Tooltips to 200%, huh?)
Probably some more stuff, but can't remember. Been doing to much on this addon for to long. LOL.
-------
** UPDATE Version 2.5.1 8/4/8 **
Fixed coordinates for Horde quest givers, that where throwing errors for Horde characters.
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.5 7/30/08 ** ** Alot has changed/implemented so consider this a rough BETA **
Quest Givers:
You can now look to see where the Quest Giver is for all the quests, helpful to those that are new to dailies. This can be turned on/off (There location info) for those more experienced and not needing this.
Quest Waypoints:
If you have TomTom or Cartogrpher_Waypoints addons installed (current ones I've added support for, don't really know any others), you can shift-click the quest title and if you are in the zone it'll give you that nice arrow to the show you the way.
Money filtering:
You can now filter the amount of gold from Show Me The Money!, so you can only see the dailies in the dropdown tooltip that are in the range of gold you are wanting to do.(I.E. filter out quests that give between 1g - 10g).
AceComm Delay:
You can now set your own delay when joining AceComm (Default is 20 seconds and can be set upto 1 minute), so it doesn't inject itself into Channel 1 for those having slower load times.
Quests Accepted:
The Dailies Quest Tracker Tooltip will now show how many quests you've accepted within a group. I.E. [4/2/18] is [4 Completed/2 Accepted/18 Total Can Do]
Multiple Characters:
Track dailies on all your characters that are on a particular realm (no cross realms atm, due to differences in time-zones. It is possible, but I'll tackle that when the time comes). Each character will need to visit a quest giver at least once for DQT starts tracking the quests for them. It will show in the tooltips when two characters are known for a given quest.
Time Formats:
Time formats can now be displayed in Standard AM/PM or 24 Hour.
Screenshots have changed to reflect to look/feel of all the changes.
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.2.07 6/11/08
You can now display faction status and colorization in the group header of the DQT tooltip for easier reference.
You can move factions to inactive or collapse the group header in the reputation pane and DQT will still grab faction information correctly.
LibAbacus-3.0 is no longer used, as I'm formatting my own values.
Removed the below level 70 [DISCLAIMER] in the DQT tooltip, as it states it in other parts of the mod and frees space.
Removed the Random Dailies [MESSAGE] in the DQT tooltip, as it will automatically populate if you have the feature on.
All daily quests now have there own [Quest Link]. You can insert this link into the chat frame by Shift-Left-Clicking a quest title from DQT.
Many new things are formatted with icons, to make things more uniform with the Blizzard interface.
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.2.05 5/20/08 TESTING**
You can now turn communications on/off to your liking if you don't want to send and receive dailies. When you first load the mod, communications will be completely OFF, and you will need to turn it on manually. Once this is done, you don't need to set it again unless you want to turn it back off.
Show Me The Money! Now sorts by monetary value and then quest name, so it's a little easier to read.
If you have any issues with this update PLEASE delete for Dailies.lua & Dailies.lua.bak saved variables and test again before reporting issues. There is some new data saved that may interfere with your old data.
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.2.04 5/19/08 TESTING**
Joining the AceComm channel should now insert itself into the 1st AVAILABLE channel and will announce it when it has done so. PLEASE make sure you have all your CUSTOM channels to your liking before loading the mod in-game as you can't change the AceComm channel numbering.
Fixed errors when trying to accept quests from non Random Daily quest givers.
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.2.03 5/16/08 TESTING**
AceComm should now default to using the next available channel then trying to insert itself into Channel 1.
You no longer have to accept a quest to populate the Random Daily info, just talking to the associated quest giver and it will grab the quest info needed. (This doesn't accept the quests for you, it's just populates the Random Dailies info)
Show Me The Money! shows the monetary value of all dailies so you can hunt out the dailies that give you the most gold. This will also show if you've done the quest already by highlighting it in green.
If a Random Daily is known (from you or gathered from a user), you can click the text and it will paste the daily with the associated info [Quest and Location] into the chat box, so you can let others know what the daily is without having to type it out. If you have the quest it will provide a [Quest Link], if you don't it'll be simple text.
Fixed some of the changes Blizzard made to some daily rewards
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.2.02 5/14/08 TESTING**
Think I may have got the libraries (Sink, Abacus) updated properly. *crossing fingers*
Fixed the channel list from permanently sticking to the AceComm channel.
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.2 5/13/08 TESTING**
Updated some libraries to hopefully fix some of the errors popping up (Abacus, Sink)
You can now grab the random dailies from other users and will populate in the DQT tooltip when they are known by others, this HEAVILY requires other users of the mod on your realm to work properly and MAY BE BUGGY while I get it all worked out. It shouldn't affect you using the mod and can be hidden under the options. This does REQUIRE you to join the AceComm channel and is done automatically if you have available channels. There should be no overhead as I'm pinging each other at a slow response and there is a built in throttle by blizzard to keep the spamming down.

Removed some more localization stuff scattered about, sorry thought I got it all.
Fixed some of the changes Blizzard made to some daily rewards
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.03 4/5/08 **
Removed localizations as it was causing numerous errors, hopefully soon I can get a better handle on how they work. So for now, this mod will only work on English Clients. Sorry for the inconvenience.
------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.02 4/5/08 **
Adjusted some tooltip text
Removed the check for Cooking in tradeskills, so you now can filter the group if not interested in the dailies
Fixed quest 'WANTED: A Warp Splinter Clipping' not being tracked correctly
-------- ** UPDATE Version 2.4.01 4/02/08 **
Changed the FuBar Icon back to Static ones, as people where having issues with the Dynamic one.
Reputation Icon in the rewards tooltip, now uses the Tabard of that faction
If Auto Unfolding is used, it will only happen when you are not hovering with-in the DQT tooltip. Once you leave the tooltip, Auto-Unfolding will resume like normal
Added a slash command for those not using Fubar to make it visable again if hap-hazzardly disabled. /DQT or /Dailies will give you the list. ('/DQT Standby' is what turns the mod on/off FYI)
Added Blood for Blood and Blast the Gateway back into the FINAL dailies list
Reset times are now pulled from the server opposed to using my own timing. With that, there is a glitch currently that the times cannot be pulled correctly sometimes (Known bug from Blizzard). This has no impact on using the mod itself, just for the visual in the tooltip.
BEFORE REPORTING BUGS
Delete your (Dailies.lua and Dailies.lua.bak) saved variables first and/or run this mod by itself to make sure there isn't erroneous data saved or conflicts with other mods.
any know how to disable the quest complete sound its the only thing i dont like about it or atleast how to change it to one that fits better like the orc work complete or ally jobs done sound atm i use carbonite for sounds to quests complete and 2 sounds is just to much hehe

Thank you SO much for showing this solution! I figured it was a matter of setting a flag, but didn't really know what to look for or where to start. Big thanks!
I have a minimap mod that I use to move it to the bottom middle of my screen for my UI layout. DQT is attaching its window to the bottom of that, forcing it to display off the bottom of my screen. Not very useful. :/ Is there a way to reposition the DQT window?
Originally posted by Jailen Ok, I log in, and i get all the "quest name: loaded" messages...
But when I open the map, I get more messages, one of them says "Retriution Aura" if I have it buffed... anyway to hide these messages?

I've been looking for a program that will let me select the 8 or 9 dalies that I do every day on a couple of characters and let me know if I've done them or not. Doing them every day, sometimes it's hard to remember if I've done them or not and for what characters. A mod like this would save me a lot of flying around.
I've installed this mod and thought it tracks when I take the quest and when the quest was completed, it seems that when I reload my UI or log out then back in again the completed time goes away and it doesn't show if I've done it or not.
Just looking for a simple list of my hand picked dalies and have them greyed out. or checkmarked, if I've done them today or not.
Northend:
- No Daily fraction qs' is listed, even if i complete them
- Secondary Crafting like Cooking doesn't change
- Primary Crafting like Jewel crafting results in a Error message
I'm playing with a german WoW Cilent. It could be the reason why it's not working correctly.
Also, the Addon Session Tracker has some problems when DQT is active.
Deactivating Session Tracker doesn't resolve the problems with DQT.
Originally posted by Fritos I'll have to apologize in advance. I have no knowledge at all pertaining to Titan. I assumed all these containers (Titan, ChocolateBar, etc..) that used Broker had these types of adjustments in there respective bars.
With that being said, if this something that needs to be added (no promises here). It will be in the new Dailies Quest Tracker. As I'm no longer supporting the version available atm and all versions will be removed once I post the revamped version.
Hope the new version is coming along well. If you need a beta tester, I'll be happy to do it for you. Keep up the great work!
