The latest version can always be found on my googlecode SVN
NinjaPoints is an addon created on request by another rogue. There really aren't any good CP trackers out there (except for NugComboBar of course!) so I thought I'd make my own!
Usage:
/npoints (or /np) will bring up the options menu.
NEW! Optionally, you can go through Blizzard's Interface options menu.
If you like NinjaPoints add it to your favorites and tell your friends about it.
NEW! Adding your own sounds has been made much easier in NinjaPoints 2.0. LibSharedMedia is no longer required, so if you don't have it you can still use your own sounds and fonts.
Take your sound file and place it in the NinjaPoints\Sounds folder. Then open up the Sounds.lua file and add your sound with the file path
Change Log:
r90
- Fixed Font Not Set errors
- Now compatible with LibSharedMedia-3.0
r64
- Fixed :SetPoint() errors
Version 2.1
- Changed 'range' to 'input' for x and y offset, allowing more flexibility and ease when positioning the string
Version 2.02
- I'm sure people would enjoy this addon much more if they could actually download it. Just a crazy thought though.
Version 2.0
- Converted to Ace3
- Now uses Blizzard's interface options menu. No longer uses Dewdrop.
- Using custom sounds and fonts has been made substantially easier (I think, anyway)
- LibSharedMedia-3.0 is no longer included with this file. It should still work with it however.
- Fixed a few bugs
- Dramatically cleaned up the code
Version 1.7
- Added fading options
Version 1.6.1
- Fixed TOC error
Version 1.6
- Included LibSharedMedia-3.0 into the .zip file (delete this if you use external libraries).
Version 1.5
- Cleaned up code a bit
- Packaged finishim.wav into the folder to be used with LibSharedMedia-3.0 if you have it installed
- Added options for font outline
Version 1.4
- More bug fixes
- Added dewdrop config menu to make it easier to change options
Version 1.3
- Bug fixes
- Changed style to change independently for each combo point (for maximum customization)
Version 1.2
- Added LibSharedMedia-3.0 support for sounds and fonts
- Small bug fixes
Version 1.1
- Added random text and random colors for combo point messages
- I still need A LOT more messages for the random message generator. If you have any ideas, leave a comment or e-mail me at ga.shredder@gmail.com
Version 1.02
- Uploaded the correct .zip file, lawl
Version 1.01
- Added moving options in game.
- Added reset function.
- Added option to play sounds on combo points

The other error, I've been able to replicate. Basically I'll set my NP options (font, font outline, coordinates, and display type (text, colors)), use Test, and all will display fine. If I quit out of WoW, or even /reloadui, the majority of my settings are reset... position went back to x0, y55. Point display went from text back to numbers. Colors reset. The font type remained the same, but the font outline reset back to None.
Ok, I'll check that out right now.
EDIT: Ok, I messed around with it and I couldn't replicate it. I screwed with all the settings, changed them, reloaded my UI and everything remained the same.
I'm gonna test it a little more extensively just in case.

Originally posted by TGulics When entering any values for the xOff, yOff fields (and OKing the change), the NinjaPoints display will vanish entirely. I've tried many combinations of coordinates to no avail, to get any display back I have to use the Reset button. I'm also occasionally receiving a NinjaPoints LUA error stating the Font Not Set despite a font being chosen.
Thoughts? It seems the only time NP works is if I Reset the mod, but if I make any changes to the combo point display (colors, text, position, etc) it eventually stops displaying altogether.
Couldn't replicate the first error. If it pops up error text, it would help a lot if I could see it.
The second problem should be fixed in the newest release.

Okay, I'll admit it, I don't totally understand what I'm supposed to do here. In the boxes marked xOff and yOff, what values am I supposed to put in here?
I've tried to enter 1, 5, 50 in the xOff and when I hit the "OK" button it throws the following error:

Ok, this is strange. I just uploaded the actual NinjaPoints.zip but it's still showing up as NinjaYell.zip.
I need to contact an admin about this.

Originally posted by Keyd Thanks so much for this. Before the 2.4 patch I've been using Combat Sounds Unattached which pretty much was everything I could ever want for a combo point tracker. One addition for NinjaPoints I'd like to see is something to tell you that you've parried an attack. Helps a lot when you can riposte.
I liked being able to use your own sounds and so far for me only ver. 1.3 is able to do it but 1.4 and 1.5 broke that. I've even gone into the .lua and put in the filename but it still won't work, only 1.3 works that way.
Other than that, great job
Thanks for the compliment!
The reason that it only works with 1.3, is because 1.4 and later use SharedMedia for font sounds.
I'll try and put LibSharedMedia-3.0 into the next upload so you can put your own sounds in there. I'll write up how to do it when I get back on my main computer.
I've also been toying with the idea of adding another frame for an energy meter or something like you mentioned to show when an attack was parried.
Again, thank you.
