BetterInbox replaces the default paging Blizzard inbox with a scrollable inbox with some extra features.
- Summary of invoices, attachments and gold at the top.
- Dropdown embedded to select what to open, all mail, all items, all gold.
- Select certain mails via a checkbox and open the selected mails, items or gold
The open all feature might still have some quircks with battleground tokens you can't pick up.
See the screenshot for an example of the attachment summary and looks.

Optional Files - Better Inbox
Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
Any chance that we could get an option to turn off the tooltip list of items attached to mail? I'd kind of like to use this addon with Postal but they have a bit of a nasty feature overlap.

on the last version you've make the choice to put checkbox on the icon of mail but i think (for me) there is a little more bigger because i don't see the icon and when i just want open the mail i click in the checkbox and i didn't want to do that. it's just a detail sorry
(If i am the only one to have this prob so forget my suggestion)
Hmm I think I know the issue. There is a hidden text to the right of the checkbox, I will fix that for the next release.

Originally posted by cawfee This mod is a godsend, thanks for taking the time to make it available to us it's been working like a dream too, but there's two things that strike me as odd:
1.
Whenever I click an item in the mailbox, it prints a "clicked x" message in my log. Is there a way to turn this off?
2.
When retrieving any specific group of items / gold, it prints an "internal mail database error" yet works flawlessly. Is this an issue on Blizzard's side, or something you could possibly work around?
Thanks again!
Point 1 has been fixed already, I will upload a new version soon.
Point 2 is a problem with the blizzard mail interface, if you query the server too fast it'll generate the errors. You can ignore them, or maybe I should make BetterInbox ignore them when its opening stuff

New version on wowace svn has a checkbox at every mail (topleft of the icon), and an option to only take the selected items/gold/all in the dropdown.
I will not add features to the 'send mail' for now, maybe that'll come in a BetterOutbox addon.
As soon as this new version is tested properly I will upload to wowi

I also am rather dependent on the features of EasyMail (2.3.2). They complement each other well. However, this addon doesn't play well with the "check box" option added by EasyMail.
Can the Author add compatibility with EasyMail, or alternatively add the features of EasyMail?

Best mail addon I'v ever tried! Love the fact that you can choose between taking the gold, the items or everything at once. Also a very nice feature that it displays the total amout of gold in your inbox.
Only thing I'v "kindda" missing, is somekind of address box for the sent mail tab. making it easier to mail players who is not in your guild or in your friends list, but still someone who you mail reguarly.
Also the option to keep the name on the player you last sent something to would be most exelent.
Just found this mod, and it does 90% of what I want from an inbox mod. Thanks.
The thing it does not do is allow me to select one mail, and grab all the items out of that message without touching other messages.
People often send me stacks of things for crafting, and I want to be able to get just the stuff from one persons mail without having to click on 12 seperate items.
Originally posted by Luciant i love the look and functionality of this mod, i am getting a glitch though-- when if i have mail with gold in it (from like a sale on the AH) when i open my inbox it displays the amount of gold in the items incorrectly, instead of showing whats in them it shows as what i have on me already. If fixes itself if i close abd re-open my mailbox
I've noticed that glitch as well, it has to do with the updating of the gold frame. (I use a blizzard template which I could skip now with the new icons I guess).
