I updated this addon to 3.1 because I thought someone would like it. It uses some old libraries and some weird stuff in the code, but it works. I am going to clean the code up later, when I have the time for it.
DPSMeter calculates your average damage per secong in combat, and displays it with a stylish and modern speedometer style. DPSMeter also records some data, like total damage, and the session's top hit. After combat, the digital display shows the final DPS of the whole combat.
DPSMeter automatically adjusts its scale every time your dps rises over the maximum, so the meter works fine if your DPS is 20 or 1200.
The damage meters included aren't fully accurate and can contain errors, but they are not the main thing this addon provides. They should be used for reference only.

Latest update:
1.51
- Damage Meter bars should now be shown/hidden correctly when the frame is resized
Full features list:
A speedometer style DPS display with self adjusting digits
A digital DPS display that shows the DPS of the previous combat
Tooltip stats, including:
- Average DPS for this session
- Maximum DPS for this session
- Total damage of this session and lifetime (per character)
- Top hit of this session
Adjustable scale and transparecy of the frame
An alternative display of DPS in Scrolling Combat Text addon
An option to count also healing during combat
Damage/healing meters for party (in beta, not fully tested nor fully working)
Upcoming features:
More data collection like crit records, miss %, hit speed, and stuff (please make suggestions)
Total code cleanup
... some other stuff
Known issues:
The damage meters sometimes go mad when the group members change. This can be fixed by resetting the meters every time you kick/add group members. It doesn't affect to the other features, only to the output of the damage meter.
The damage meter has no resizing restriction, so you can resize it smaller than the bars. Will be fixed asap.
Sometimes if you are dead, and your dots or something like that hits an enemy, DPSMeter believes that you are still in combat. (should be fixed)
Some special items (Like Bombing quests) make DPSMeter go mad.

Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
Any chance of an update for 3.0.2? I've had it disabled since the patch hit because mousing over the read-out was giving me an error. I'd love to see this counting away on my screen again.
Nice design, beats the minimalist bars/rows of numbers that most similar addons use
Any chance of using targa (*.tga) files for the graphics instead of the blizzard (*.blp) format?
I would be intrested in creating new skins for this but dislike the hastle of converting to .blp (i assume both formats would work like most addons do)
D'oh. I now know why the tooltip is not showing with some users. You must have "Show Newbie Tips" or something toggled on. Will fix in next version. (v1.35 ?)
Originally posted by Daedal The info tooltip panel is shown with in-game blizzard function "GameTooltip_AddNewbieTip". As I said, it's a blizzard function, and it's used from blizzard "addons" mainly.
Thanks, I'll check my other addons to see if they are interfering. Will get back to you if I discover anything interesting.
Originally posted by Bachowny Hi. Love this addon, it seems great (from what I've seen on other people's rigs). On mine I have a slight issue though.
I play on two monitors next to each other. Wierd I know, but as far as WoW is concerned it's simply that the res is 2560x1024.
When I hover over the damage-o-mometer I don't see the floating panel with my actual damage stats on it.
Hope this is enough info to sort out the problem, if not I'll check back for replies over the next few days.
The info tooltip panel is shown with in-game blizzard function "GameTooltip_AddNewbieTip". As I said, it's a blizzard function, and it's used from blizzard "addons" mainly. (Like when you hover over quest log icon, you see a tooltip with info and something) So if it doesn't work, you could have an addon with hook that is forbidding it :/ I don't see a reason why the double display would be the reason, because I use also two monitors. (But the WoW is only in one monitor, the other has browser, teamspeak etc.) I can still check if there are some errors in the code.
Originally posted by Daedal Well that's a good idea, I'll make that during the weekend because it's a quite simple to do.
EDIT: Included in 1.25 thanks for the suggestion!
You're welcome!
I manually edited my savedvariables file to set alpha to 0.0, making it completely invisible when out of combat. I can still click the meter, though
Originally posted by Sargeant This mod looks really promising. I was a huge fan of the deceased CombatGraph (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/7085/), which stopped working a couple of patches back. Numbers don't mean much to me at-a-glance, so its very nice to have a visual scale of how much damage I'm putting out. Any chance at one of the future skins being a histogram?
How does this mod handle pet damage? Perhaps an option to merge its damage with the owner's damage?
Thanks for your time.
Well, I will consider more exact featuren when I get a new computer (few weeks away) because at the moment my pc is crappy. Pet damage is merged to owner's already.
