HeadCount - Raid member tracking
HeadCount
HeadCount is a configurable World of Warcraft add-on that tracks raid attendance, loot, and boss kills.

HeadCount answers the following questions:
  • How long is a player active in a raid?
  • How long is a player on standby for a raid?
  • How long is a player offline during a given raid?
  • What loot dropped during a raid and who received it?
  • What boss kills occurred during a given raid and who was there for the kill?

More information can be found on the HeadCount wiki:
http://www.wowace.com/projects/head-count/

Main features
  • Raids
  • Raid creation: Automatically creates a new raid as you join or start a raid.
  • Raid finalization: Automatically ends an existing raid as you leave a raid.
  • Raid management: The user can end raids, remove raids, or remove all raids on demand.
  • Raid zone tracking: Zone name are automatically added to raids as you zone into a raid instance for the first time.

    Player attendance
  • Player tracking: Players are tracked based on their timed participation in the raid. Players can be tracked based on configurable raid groups for raid list activity (active raiding players) and wait list players (queue/standby players).
  • Player removal: The user can remove tracked information for specific players on demand.
  • Player history: View specific player history for a raid to see how and when a player moved from activity to standby to offline and back during a raid.
  • No list tracking: Players can be tracked as non-raid list and non-standby players as needed. Players that go offline are automatically taken out of the raid and wait list groups for tracking purposes.
  • Integrated wait list: Receive whispers from members outside of the raid group in order to track them.

    Boss kills
  • Boss kill tracking: Tracks the world bosses killed during the course of a raid and the raid list members present for the kill.
  • Boss kill removal: The user can remove tracked boss kills on demand.

    Loot
  • Loot tracking: Tracks loot received during a raid based on configurable item level quality (default: Epic item level or higher)
  • Loot removal: The user can remove specific pieces of loot on demand.
  • Loot exclusion: The user can manage loot exclusion which will prevent certain pieces of loot from being tracked during a raid. (e.g. - Emblem of Valor)

    Export
  • Export: Users can export current raid attendance and received loot information to one of a number of formats (CSV, XML, Text, EQdkp XML string, DKPBoard, Text, phpBB forum post, phpBB with ItemStats forum post).

    Reporting
  • Boss kill broadcast: The user can optionally broadcast when the raid kills a boss to a configurable chat channel.
  • Loot broadcast: The user can optionally broadcast when a player receives a valid piece of loot to a configurable chat channel.

    Performance
  • Fault tolerance: If the mod owner quits WoW, restarts WoW, or reloads their UI during a raid and returns to the game, HeadCount will attempt to gracefully recover from the outage to continue tracking the active raid.
  • Attendance delay: Configure how often HeadCount should manage attendance updates to increase or decrease performance and/or accuracy.

Troubles

Ok im liking the look of this addon... and from what i see it looks really good... but is there a 'read me' anywhere for the handicaps so they can run the programe without being noob at it?

Like... do we need to have somewhere to export it to (EQDKP) and if so how do we make/get a EQDKP site and blah blah...

If anyone can help please shout out !

Question Use with Partys

I love this addon and it has been a great help in guild morale to raid results posted to our web forum for all to see what happened.

What we were wondering is there a way to use it with partys. We are working hard on daily dungeons and heroics for gear and if we could export party information like we do for raids it would be fantastic.

Is there a way to use this addon for that or is there another addon out there?

Update for 3.1 (Ulduar)

I recently started using Headcount and i must admit that I absolutely love this raid tracking mod! I was wondering if there is any intention to update this with the new Ulduar instance? I have taken calico0 advise below (tyvm Calico0) and have been able to exclude the [Emblem of Conquest]s, but I have been unable to successfully figure a way to get Headcount to title Ulduar (10man or 25man). Has anybody had any success in accomplishing this and if so... would you be so kind as to share.

Again, my thanks for this excellent raid tracker and I am looking forward to a working Ulduar version.

No need to edit lua to exclude items.
In game type '/headcount exclude add [Emblem of Conquest]'
(shift click the emblem link into the command, can shift click from HeadCounts previous records)

Does anyone know how to exclude the new emblems on this? I tried searching the files for the word 'emblem' or the item ID of various emblems but was unable to locate anything.

Bug with duplicate drops

It seems there is a bug when a duplicate item drops in a single raid (i.e. 2 bosses in Naxx hc drop the same BoE ring).
HeadCount then just ignores that drop, but continues to not 'trigger' with bosskills and loot after that, until you relog.

Could you check that?
Oh, and possibly add an 'edit' button for raids, so you could edit the name of the raid or the cost of an item i.e.?

Other than that, awesome addon, especially the recovery feature is brilliant

Hey amazing addon, is it possible to tell Headcount to only record data in (Heroic) raid versions? its annoying when i am weeding through my info that i have to delete any 10 man raid i did in between.

Excellent addon, I just wanted to post my thanks to you for making this available. I've been growing more and more frustrated with CTRT lately, and HeadCount seems to do almost everything I need it to - and does it far better than CTRT.

Keep up the good work.

i want to see joined / left / time on raid

also i know there are more options for export but can u make as simple as the addon it shows mean when u click on the raid name u see all there attendace on the lower window just select all and copy, same for the loot, press the show loot then select all and copy it.

tnx
I will make a work ticket to add the additional data, but I have no estimate as to when this will get into the addon.

Regrettably, i cant find any information about waitlist and "main" raid attendees list.

I have default config so 1-5 main, 6+ waitlist. But when i export raid data to my EQDKP+ site it just put all 30+ raid members to each event(we are useing event-based config, so Naxx is 15 event zone 100 dkp each) and set all of them FULL DKP.
Is there some CTRT or HC configuration to give waitlist just 50% of event dkp?
Handling configurable raid-wide DKP values isn't possible in CTRT Import right now so it wouldn't be possible to define this in HeadCount. I don't know who handles the CTRT Import plugin, but this would require some lobbying for change to their development team.

Re: How to see the history of loot per member

This, in order to know the proportion of user which have much chance of those which have some less.
There is a ticket open for historical raid data, but there is no timetable as to when I will get to this. Over the next year, I will not have as much time to dedicate to working on addon features so future releases will focus on basic usability and minor updates (for example, supporting Ulduar when it comes out).

I'd love to add this feature, but, unfortunately, I just don't have the time and resources to get to it quickly.
