I'm around, and I'm willing to look into getting the addon up-to-date, but I'll admit that my motivation to do so is lower than it could due to the basic concept of Gossipmonger (showing hidden dialog due to autoselection stuff) not being as "useful" as it used to be, what with all the NPC dialog in the game created in the past, what, four years, having been designed with that autoselection stuff in mind. The assumption that you're using autoselection even goes to the point where some dialog shown is actually "wrong": I don't remember any specifics off hand, but I've seen things like filler text that it'd make no sense for the NPC to say, or text about how you can't shop at this NPC yet even though you actually can (maybe the text is like "The village is burning! I can't sell you anything while I have to battle this fire!" but the shop option is actually there; see, Blizzard counted on you only seeing the text when the option wasn't available, and it's only available after you complete the quest to put out the fires). Anyway, again, I'd be willing to look into it, but it's not a big priority and if it'd take a lot of work, it becomes even less of a priority. Sorry.. Gossipmonger simply utilizes Blizzard's system for placing frames like the Character or talents panel. When I moved the minimap to the bottom-left side of the screen, as you did, moved the quest tracker and such to the right, locked the minimap, and then reloaded the interface, I noticed the problem you reported. Frames are being placed on top of each other. It's important to note that this problem applied equally to the character panel and the talents panel even with Gossipmonger disabled. If I unlock the minimap again and move it back to the top-right, those frames are placed properly again. I noticed in the comments section of the page you linked that another user was also having this issue. You ought to add to the discussion there. Try to give details, like I did above. (Heck, go ahead and quote me.) Good luck.

It takes a /reloadui or logging out to have effect but the GossipMonger frame won't draw further right than the leftmost border of the minimap. I went so far as to disable all addons except GossipMonger and simpleMinimap to test this.

I'm going to need you to go through the process of elimination to find out which one it is. Just one by one disable your addons to see which one it is (or if you've got a lot, maybe start with half of them or whatever, so long as you get it down to just one offender in the end). I'd start with simpleMinimap since you said you got it recently, and then any others you might have added or updated in the last week. I took a quick look at that addon's code and no obvious problem jumped out at me but it'd be best if you make sure it's not the culprit by disabling it.

It just seems so natural, like this is the way it should be. One question: Is there any way to move the GossipMonger frame, or at least reset it to the position it was by default? For some reason mine appears to have migrated to the left and now appears over the shop/flight master frame. >< I guess (now that I think of it) I could just delete the savedvariables. I think I'll go do that right now. >.> Update: Okay, tried deleting the variables and that didn't work. Took at look at them and noted no position variable so figured it must be something else interfering with GossipMonger. So I took a screenshot for you to see, in case you already have an idea. Incidentally, I don't know if it's significant or not but the last addon I installed was simpleMinimap I noted that the GossipMonger frame just happens to line up exactly with the left edge of the minimap. I'm planning on creating a custom filter system for Gossipmonger that would let advanced users determine how to handle such situations, perhaps providing for them a function similar to Blizzard's ChatFrame_AddMessageEventFilter. Then, as a separate, optional download, I'd release some preprogrammed filters that could be easily toggled off and on using the Interface Options. Sound good?
