THIS IS A FUBAR MOD AND REQUIRES FUBAR TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
ChannelFu is an adaptation of a German mod called ChannelWatchFu and uses much of the same code. It's been trimmed down to remove what I feel was some extraneous coding and functionality, whilst adding in additional functions I felt were useful.
The goal was to provide as close to GuildFu as possible, without being in a guild.
The primary use for this mod is for situations where you belong to a channel that organises activites, such as heroics or raiding, outside of your guild.
Using ChannelFu, you can easily see how many people are online within channels you monitor and, using the "sort by class" function, you can easily check a specific class to see who is online.
Additional functions include:
* Initiate whisper with person in channel.
* Invite person in channel to group/raid.
* Option to display who in the channel is already in your group/raid.
* Option to display Zone and/or guild of players in the channel.
Is there a way to append a note to a player? So I could mark them? Also, you could implement a way to cash the latest talent distribution, just the numbers, too. Maybe there is a library you could have this addon access?
Is there a way to simply list the names of players without doing the /who info (level, class color, etc).
I find that when i do a /who request manually, it takes a few seconds since ChannelwatchFu is constantly doing requests to update the list. I know WhoLib queues the request, but I'd rather just have it list the people and nothing else.

Is it possible to add functionality to auto join predefined "custom" channels? or at least be able to store so that with 1 click you can rejoin custom channels when you log in. i.e., not general, trade, guild, etc. but channels that you can create. Thanks.
It doesn't update zone when I click The ChannelFu.
I hope add the Class tooltip like GuildFu.
If I use Cirk's Chatmanager . When I load on. The channel msg will show "[Channel name] *name,name,name,...."
Just like coding "ChanFu:CHAT_MSG_CHANNEL_LIST()
".
[2008/06/22 09:35:48-3860-x1]: FuBar_ChannelFu-2.4.2\Core.lua:10: Cannot find a library instance of Babble-Class-2.2.
BugSack-2.3.0.70977\Libs\AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua:490: in function `AceLibrary'
FuBar_ChannelFu-2.4.2\Core.lua:10: in main chunk
Well, I just couldn't see it working. WhoLib-1.0 is not found and when I get the new version it is 2.3.0.
I tried to mess up a little with the .toc and lua, but without success, so, for now, this incredible to be add on to FuBar will be out of my list.
A hint would be to use the ## RequiredDeps to avoid such problem. If the dependency is not on, it would appear as you check your AddOns, not when you log in.
I'm working on an update, that I'm coding most of those buggy routines from scratch again to work properly, and I'll upload with the full required libs also.
I'm leaving this available as a good number of people are able to use it ok as it is.
Apologies for delays, I've been off on holidays. Hoping the update will be soon
Love the addon, but there seems to be issues with zones not being updated when viewing the tooltip, they update once, and then only update again if you manuallly do a who on the player. Also, not that important, but I was wondering if you could add an option to dispaly which person is the current owner of the channel. You could possibly add a * by their name.
