Dominos   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Have a question? Check out the Dominos wiki first!

Dominos is an action bar addon intended to do the following:
  • Reuse as much standard blizzard action button code as possible.
  • Contain a relatively minimal feature set
  • Be easy to use
  • Be stable

It includes the following features:
  • 10 action bars, pet, class, menu, and bag bars. Each one has customizable settings for padding, spacing, columns, scale, and opacity.
  • A movable experience/reputation bar.
  • Customizable paging. You can switch pages on: action bar pages, modifier keys, forms, and targeting.
  • Customizable show states. You can tell your bar under which macro options to show.
  • Fading bars. You can set your bars to fade out to a certain opacity when not moused over.
  • The ability to customize showing empty buttons or not
  • Full button facade support
  • Keybound support
  • Sticky frames
  • The ability to move buttons in combat
  • A movable casting bar (optional)
  • A movable roll frame (optional)
  • Configurable right click targeting
  • Configurable self cast key settings
  • Possess bar support

...and will probably not end up with the following:
  • A stats bar
  • A minimap bar
  • True variable length bars

Here's how you use it:
  • To see the current list of slash commands, type /dom ? or /dominos ?
  • To open up the options menu, either go into interface options, or type /dom
  • To move bars around, either go into the options menu and press the "Enter Config Mode" button, or type /dom lock
  • To bind keys, enter binding mode via /kb or /keybound, or press the "Enter Binding Mode" button in the options menu.

...and this is why I wrote it:
  • I have significantly less time to code now than I did previously. Dominos is intended to be easier to maintain.
  • I wanted to see how much I could do while maintaining compatibility with the standard action button code.
  • I'm not entirely happy with the direction I took with Bongos3. I added features that I do not see myself using personally, and thus feel that those features will be neglected and bug ridden.
  • Hold down alt while moving a bar to disable sticky bars

You can use the following to add extra functionality:
  • RedRange - Colors action buttons red when out of range
  • OmniCC - Adds cooldown count text
  • ButtonFacade - Allows you to change the look of the action, pet, and class buttons
  • Inline Aura - Adds buff and debuff highlighting + duration text
  Change Log - Dominos
As of 1.9.x, I've discontinued Dominos_Buffs in favor of Inline Aura. My decision for doing so is that its maintained by another person, and also because it adds in some nice features, such as buff durations.

Hello there!

I'd like to say that I think Dominos is a great addon. I've tried a lot of different actionbar addons, but not one can measure up to Dominos
I do have one question, though; is it possible to disable the Dominos XP-bar and use the original Blizzard XP-bar instead? I tried disabling the Dominos XP-bar in the addons interface, but then I had no XP-bar. Or perhaps I need a plugin for Dominos?

first, it would be nice if the xp bar would have an option to add a percentage value to the xp. This would make it a lot easyier to answer the questions how much xp is missing^^

and second, an option to make the selected totems in the totembar switchable, like the orginal blizz bar has.
The 3.3 version of the XP bar will include a percentage display, based on a user submitted patch.

I should note that I'm level 10 at the moment, so I don't have access to any of the Call of the X spells yet. Does this mean I'm SOL for using Dominos Totems?
Yes.

There's no way for an add-on to automatically update its settings through the means of the game itself (although some time ago Blizzard went through a discussion of some sort about saving add-on related information on their servers, they don't actually save any add-on's variables, in contrary to macros and some other game settings) - so there's no other way than copying the SavedVariables from one box to the other (or have both access the same SV directory).
Your spells, abilities and other things you've already put on the bars will be there if you log on from another computer (no matter what add-ons you use or don't use), yet add-ons can't save their stuff anywhere else than in the SavedVariables directory (since the game actually does that for them and they can't do anything about that).
Meaning, you'll have to use common methods not directly related to WoW or Dominos (like a flash or network drive or whatever) to transfer the exact same bar layout.

Dominos

First let me say that I love this add-on/mod! Love it love it love it! Was wondering if there might be something in the works that will allow this to be set up on one computer (I play in two locations), and have the same set-up automatically update on the other? That would be so awesome so that my bars are exactly the same on both computers and I don't have to try to remember how I have it set up in case I move something or change something? Just a thought

Oh! On another note, if you use WowMatrix, do not update Dominos! It is for 3.3 only and you will go crazy wondering why Bar 1 is blank!

Re: Totem bar

^^ I did notice it was a separate option in the Addon Panel. So first make sure that is clicked to be used. (so you can unclick it for non shaman).. Second, when I started using it I hadn't had the "Call of ..." yet. So I had to go and buy those spell. --I'm really assuming that isn't the issue but I'm putting it out there-- finally, look under some already placed bars. Maybe it's hiding behind your roll bar or something.

If nothing else works or it just frustrates you try Totem timer. It's what I've been using lately if for no other reason that it is just very shaman friendly with shields and such. But Dom is still the Bomb.

Ah, well that Dominos cannot do. I would suggest just using a shrunken action bar for this.
