GuildWho
GuildWho allows you to easily find out whose alt someone is, or which alts someone has. You can use slash commands to find out on whom someone is online, or print someone's alts. You can also print alts via the right click player menu in the chat and friends frame, or see alts in a tooltip via the guild roster.
Usage:
/gwho character - Find who this character is online as.
/alts character - List this character's alts.
Because of limitations in the API, if a note was updated in the last 10 seconds, your results may not be accurate!
How it works/you can make it work:
- "Mains" are created as long as any character has a valid name in its note.
* A valid name is the first sequence of letters (determined by [^%s%d%p]) found in the note.
- The main does not have to be a valid character name, and if it's not, it will exist merely to link the alts together, and not appear as a real character in any of the addon's features.
- Characters can not refer to each other, and should all refer to the same main.
TLDR: Put the name of the main character in the alts' notes.
3.4.0
- A custom note pattern can now be specified. The token $n goes where the main name is. Eg, "Alt-$n" (without quotation marks).
- You can now "disable" the addon for your guild by choosing to use "None" note.
- You can now specify a string which, when found in a note, will be ignored, and not recognised as a main.
- Fixed error in guild professions view.

- Alts are now displayed in a tooltip when hovering over a character in the guild roster.
- Now using class colors in detailed view, rather than adding the class name.

Hmm yeah, that format isn't support currently. I guess I'll look into adding support for that format, as it seems rather common. Just not sure how...

Wow... not functional for me.
So I installed this and logged in.... It tells me that every single member of the guild is an alt of every single member of the guild. ie: I mouse over any guildie name in the guild window and it lists every single member as an alt of theirs, same thing with /alt commands.
my guild uses public notes and every single character has a note. The notes either state 'Main', or 'Alt - Nameofmain' Any ideas? |

there is an issue where characters with empty notes gets linked, which I've been meaning to fix. Do you think this could be what you're experiencing? I'll see if I can finally get around to fixing it one of these days.

glitches
This program is not accurate as i have had characters linked to my toon that are not mine when type /alts and then my character name...just thought u might be able to fix it with some input
