    YurrCombatLog is a replacement for Blizzard_CombatLog in the style of SimpleCombatLog.

    • Replace Blizzard_CombatLog events with a reformatted events so it's faster to read what information you want when the combat log is scrolling very fast
    • Colors of names are different for You, Pets, Enemies, Party, Raid, Guardians/Totems or color names by their class

    I applied those fixes and posted the file here.

    I applied the fixes as posted by erwan_oops and my own messing around to YurrCombatLog 0.74, bumped all ToC files (also the options are included) and posted it as patch under YurrCombatLog for easy access to those that are uncomfortable with editing lua code.

    @erwan, thanks for the fixes you've posted.
    However it still yields errors here after applying them to the last release from wowace (the 281 version).
    Applying them to the release version (0.74) everything works fine.

    based on the release R281 (from wowace)


    i have done the full correction

    replace the line:

    by

    local _, timestamp, event, hideCaster, srcGUID, srcUnitName, srcFlags, destGUID, destUnitName, destFlags = ...

    then

    replace the line

    local base = 9

    by

    local base = 10


    then replace

    spellName, school = select(11 , ...)

    by

    spellName, school = select(base + 2, ...)



    and every thing should be OK


    we will have to re edit all of them for 4.2 because blizzard will agan add 2 new arg


    for 4.2:

    gl with your internet. Going on forums (let go playing WoW) trough phone's internet is a crime. I do it myself when I'm off to work for longer periods of time so I know what you're going trough.

    there is 2 other error

    after your first fix
    one in line 1563 => powerString = powerTypes[powerType] .. " "
    (a nil value) so i think the addon doesen't have full db any more

    so i replace the string to : powerString = " " but i lose the information related

    and the other one you point it

    the resolution

    seam to be in line 1088 => return spellList[suffix] or spellList[aura] or colors[school]

    i replace by "return spellList[suffix] or spellList[aura] or colors[school]
    or 1"
    but again it's a messy fix
