TotemTimers
TotemTimers   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
This addon displays timers for all totems and their cooldowns (referred to as timers), shaman shields, reincarnation cooldown and weapon buffs (referred to as trackers in TT).
Each timer can be used to cast its associated spells, either by mouse or keybinds.

Small manual
This addon displays four timer buttons one for each totem element.
If you cast a totem its icon will be set to the appropriate timer button with the totem's remaining time underneath it.
These buttons also act as action buttons for casting your totems.
Each timer button consists of two icons: The big main icon indicates which totems are currently active, a small mini icon indicates what totem will be cast when you leftclick that button.
(Initially no spell will be assigned to the timer buttons. The mini icons won't show anything, until you assign a spell to a timer button.)
To change the totem assigned to that button mouseover it. A button bar will appear with all totems for the timer's element.
If you leftclick such a totem button it will cast the displayed totem. If you rightlick a totem button that totem will be assigned to the timer button. If you middleclick a totem button that totem will be cast and set to the timer button.
Additionally, if you enable "Timers1 -> Recast last totem", casting a totem out of combat will assign that totem to the appropiate timer button.

TT creates a macro called "TT" in your character specific macro slots containing a castsequence with the totems assigned to your timer buttons. (That macro can change out of combat only.)

By default the shield timer casts Lightning Shield on leftclick, Water Shield on rightlick, and Totemic Call on middleclick. Can be configured to cast Earth Shield as well.
The earth shield timer casts on focus on leftclick, target on righclick, targettarget on middleclick, and self on button 4 by default.
The weapon tracker casts spells on leftclick, rightclick oder left-/rightclick while holding a modifier key (shift, ctrl, alt). These spells should be configure in the options menu.

The options menu can be found in the interface options window of WoW or by the slash command /tt.

How to use totem sets
A totem set consists of four totem spells. On loading a totem set these spells will be set to the timer buttons.
The reincarnation timer (or ankh tracker) is used to control totem sets.
Rightclicking the ankh tracker saves a totem set.
Leftclicking the ankh tracker opens a menu with a button for each set. The first set is on top of the ankh tracker with the other sets following clockwise.
Leftclicking a set button loads that set, this can be done via keybindings as well.
Rightclicking a set button deletes that set.
Saving and deleting a totem set can only be done out of combat, loading a set can be done in combat.

To be able to save a totem set, you have to have all four totems and you have to set spells to all four timer buttons.
Initially there are no spells set to the timer buttons (if there are spells on the timer buttons, there are mini icons displaying them in the lower right corner of the buttons).

I don't think, there will be any updates before 3.2. And the macro will be definitely obsolete then, Call of Fire works way better.

My current plan is to add an additional button for CoF and the other two spells that will let you select the spell with a flyout menu like the totem timers or the new blizz bar. Changing the assigned spell on a totem timer should then update the selected Call spell.

With the current implementation of the new totem mechanics it works only out of combat, since there doesn't seem a way to use the necessary function "SetMultiCastSpell" in the code for a secure action button. But I expect it to be changed in a future ptr patch (to make sure, would be nice if someone could suggest it in the US forums, I cannot post there) since the current implementation is not finished yet (for example you don't seem to be able to let CoF only cast three totems and the spell currently ignores totem cooldowns).

Xianghar, do you have plans to duplicate the new bar that Blizz has planned for 3.2?

Suggestion: slight macro tweak

Love the addon, but just a suggestion: I would add a '[btn:1]' condition to the TT macro after /castsequence so that when right-clicking to use Totemic Call, it does not say "Spell not ready."

Change Line 202 in TotemTimers.lua from:
Code:
sequence = sequence .."/castsequence reset=combat/60 "
to
Code:
sequence = sequence .."/castsequence [btn:1] reset=combat/60 "
Of course, this may all be moot come 3.2 but if you planned on any updates before then, maybe this could make the release?

PS - I hope you'll maintain this after 3.2 ... the shield and weapon timers are useful in and of themselves; maybe you could modify the code to make swapping totems in and out of the new Blizzard Totem Manager sets (so action bars aren't cluttered with totems still)?

Love the mod, much thanks for authoring it.

Anywho, was wondering if it'd be possible to make the reset on the macro TT makes changeable, without having to edit the lua every time I update.

I'm a big fan of your Addon but I'm having a problem:

I set up, for example, Stoneskin totem. I click it and it casts the totem BUT I can't see the timer! I believe it just shows the cooldown like 15s left for recasting Earthbind Totem and not the 45s left to the totem disappear.

Thanks and sorry for the noob posting here.

**Edit: Well, I wnet at the config and disabled the "Show totems cooldowns" now theres really no timer on it.

As I mentioned on the linked thread, read the change log. Use version 3.1.255 until it's fixed.

That said, Xianghar: CYPM

You cannot remove the time display yet, but it will be implemented in one of the next versions.
If you set the tracker arrangement to "free", you can move them around independently.

Lightning Watcher Next to Enhancement Watcher?

Is there a way to move the lightning watcher to the far right of the enhancement watcher? Since I need to keep that refreshed in combat, it would be better (for me) to be on that bar instead of the "buff" bar (weapon/anhk). There's no need for me to have the weapon and anhk watchers in the middle of my screen like the enhancement watcher.

If there isn't a way, can it be queued as a feature quest?

Removing Times

Howdy.

How do I remove the times (e.g., 6m) from below the buttons? I have other means of tracking how long until a buff expires and don't want the times next to the buttons. I figured out how to get rid of the bars, but not the times.

Thanks,
/ds

Sweet. I'd be embarassed if I wasn't so happy everything I wanted was already in the addon (ok, still a little bit embarassed, but hey...).

I thought the 'recast last' option was my friend, but turns out I'm much better off setting it manually. Thanks for the lesson!

1) I don't see any benefit in that. If you do not want your totems to change every time, the best thing would be to assign the totems the timer buttons by rightclicking (just assigning) or middleclicking (assigning and casting) them.

2) There are totem sets. Please read the addon description.

3) Autobar changes its totems only when it's cast by Autobar as far as I can see. In combat the same applies to TotemTimers and most likely all addons due to the secure button templates since BC.

Hi. I'll start off by saying thanks for all the work on the addon. Much appreciated!

I do have a few suggestions/requests though, if you don't mind too much:

1) Would it be possible to add an option to only set the recast totem if shift (or any other modifier for that matter) is pressed down?

2) Is it possible to create pre-defined sets of recast totems, which could be directly hotkeyed? This was a part of the old YATA. Not at all super important, but was nice to have.

3) Autobar can set the recast totem while in combat. I've long used autobar in addition to this mod, but finally decided to uninstall it. This feature of it is sorely missed though - why only out of combat? Can you make it so that it sets it during combat as well?

Suggestion 1 % 3 together would make my life easier for a lot of bosses which are split up into segments for me.
