About Last Words
For years the critters of Azeroth have been a silent minority. Slaughtered in their millions by so-called "Adventurers" they have, until now, been denied a voice. However, thanks to the latest developments in goblin engineering, they have been given that voice.

Whenever you kill a critter, their final words will be translated and presented to you in the default chat frame. In addition, Last Words will keep a running total of how many of each critter you have mercilessly slaughtered.

Installation
Just drop the entire folder into your World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/ folder.

Commands
Three commands are provided:

/lastwords reset
Resets the addon, returning the running totals for all critters to 0.

/lastwords report
Outputs a list of the critters you have brutally massacred to the default chat frame.
You can now use the following options to /lastwords report:
  • r / raid
  • p / party
  • g / guild
  • t / test
These options will output a short description of your murderous rampage to the specified chat channel, for example:
Code:
Since 19:34:00, Thu Dec 11 2008 Sekrin has mercilessly slaughtered no less than 6 poor, innocent critters.
If you do not provide a channel, it will continue to output the full description of your slaughter to the default chat frame.
You can also use /lw instead of /lastwords.

Update
This addon is now WotLK compatible. With the release of new content just around the corner, and hence a wide variety of new and exciting critters to mercilessly slaughter, Famous Last Words will now learn the names of new critters by itself.

Bugs / Issues
None, as far as I am aware, although there is the possibility that some critters may not display their correct plural forms when using /lw report - please let me know if this is the case and I shall make the necessary adjustments.

Todo
  1. Add options to control how (and if) new critters are added.
  2. Integrate the report and options into the Blizzard Options panel.
  3. Add options to output report in different formats (BBCode etc).
2.0.10 - 19 December 2008
(+) Added the r / raid option to /lw report
(+) Added the g / guild option to /lw report
(+) Added the p / party option to /lw report
(+) Added the t / test option to /lw report

2.0.9 - 25 October 2008
(-) Removed two debug messages.

2.0.8 - 21 October 2008
(*) Fixed for WoW 3.0.x compatibility.
(+) Famous Last Words will now learn new critters when it encounters them.
(-) Pre-built list of critters has been removed as it is now unnecessary.

1.3 - 25 August 2008
(+) Added the ability to use the slash command "/lw" as well as "/lastwords"
(*) Modified the way the report function displays the list of critters. Removed the "x" and the critters names should now be correctly altered when reporting more than one kill (e.g. "2x Black Rat" will now show as "2 Black Rats".

1.2 - 08 August 2008
(+) A critter's last words may now contain a reference to the player's name or class. Details on how to add new sentences using this functionality is included in the LastWords_FLW.lua file and a couple of the existing sentences have been updated.
(-) An old (and unused) XML file has been removed from the archive.

1.1 - 28 July 2008
(+) Last Words will now remember how many of each critter has been slaughtered.
(+) Added three slash commands to reset the addon, add new critters and obtain a report of the number of critters massacred.

so if you type /lw r it'd go into raid, or /lw g (guild) etc, it'd come out like (sorta)

jumpingjehospat has killed 30 poor animals since 11/1/08...the brute (well comments whatever lol) but the number and date stamp, able to report to the channel, that'd be excellent I love this idea
As I mentioned before, I have been considering doing something like this, but after you've been on a bit of a killing spree you'd end up with a massive list of critters that'd spam the channel (potentially annoying people).

I could, however, see about a shortened version of that message, like the one you wrote - just name of player, number of critters killed and date....

There are a few things that I've got on my todo list for this addon, and letting it output to different channels is one of them (although it's not as easy as just that).

As to capturing the stats for the people in your raid, do you mean only while you're in the raid with them (so it'd forget all about them when you leave the raid), or are you thinking of a more permanent record?

any chance of getting it to list in party or raid? Or is there an easy way for me to set it up that way. Love spewing out useless stats in raid lol. would be even better if it captured the stats for those in your raid as well.
