0.53 has an unfortunate horrifying bug if you're not a Druid. Upgrade to 0.54 which will be showing up on Curse real soon now (I don't have access to this page so I can't upload it myself.)
The timed-quest crash should be fixed. No guarantees. Let me know if you run into it again - if I don't get a report of it in a few versions,...
