I have changed the behaviour regarding in the development version. I'm waiting for Patch 5.2 to release it; in the meantime, could you download the following revision and check if it fixes the issue? Could you try this experimental version? I've changed it so that it does not show or hide the bonus bar, but instead overrides both the main bar and the bonus bar at the same time.
