Actually I had the exact same problem last night in Hijal. I ended up turning off alot of the combat log stuff... and pretty things and it calmed down. I think I owe the RL a beer since I was a statue for waves 2-8 on the first 2 bosses :( As soon as combat was done, it went back to normal I'm not sure if it was recount or one...
