I've found something with the BasicMinimap mod. The errors do not happen at all for me until I interact with my minimap. Once I click on my minimap (e.g. right-click to bring up the in-game calendar) the errors begin from that point on with each press of the ESC key.
I see the other guys don't run this mod so but they do have mods...

I'm having this same problem with it telling me it's trying to perform a Blizzard-only action. Always when I press the ESC key as well.
