Custom templates no longer working?

I'm suddenly finding that custom templates (that replace the DBT-Template.xml in DBM-Core and use custom textures) are no longer working. I tried a couple, one from the old DamiaUI and Boda UI DBM skin (Link) and it's putting the type of green "texture not found" squares on the bar sparks and the icons are misaligned with the borders...

Is there a way to set a text pattern that will shorten/abbreviate longer names? So "Madam Vee Luo" would become "M.V. Luo"? Some unit frame addons have specific tags for that (like or somesuch) but that didn't work in STUF and the text pattern help didn't seem to have anything for that.

Nobody else has reported it yet, so I'm guessing it's a Blizzard issue. You could try creating a new profile and see if it still persists, but it's very unlikely to be a SUF bug. Creating a new, empty profile did the trick, thanks.

Is it possible to disable the display of the ExtraActionButton1 that is used for the Ultraxion and Madness of Deathwing fights and, if so, how would it be done? I use a macro in order to keybind it, so the display uses up some screen real estate that I wouldn't mind freeing up. Thanks for all your hard work!
