Partial release
Posted By: hypehuman
As I said, it's not done. However, since the next step in the process will likely take a while, and I don't have a lot of time these days, I thought I'd share what I have so far. I uploaded it as an optional patch here: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info20908-SDMIconsbeta.html You can view that page for more details.

Great success!

In my working version, I've managed to create a function that updates the macro to display the appropriate icon (yay)! The next step is to parse out the conditionals in the macro so that it knows what events to watch in order to trigger the update. TLDR: It's not done yet, but I'm getting there.

Re: Macro icon issue on long macros!
Posted By: hypehuman
Please help! I know this is an outstanding issue for long and all but can you look into it and fix it? Macros are not showing icons for long-long macros. For my druid its really a pain for example: Any chance to make (this almost buggless and unbelievable) must-have macro addon the well deserved last touch for making it shi...

\I did notice that I cannot use /sdm run MacroName or /script sdm_RunScript("MacroName") (for SDM "script" items) .. are these working correctly for you? I haven't tried running from within an actual script. They both work for me; I use them regularly. Keep in mind that they are case-sensitive. Are you getting any error text ou...

This isn't true. It says "You already have 36 global macros. Fixed! Sorry this took so long. I notice that I cannot create a Floating Macro and then type /click MacroName to use it. The correct syntax to run a floating macro named "test" is "/click sdf_test". You can always click the "Usage" button to tell you how to run di...

There is no limit on the number of floating macros you can have. This isn't true. It says "You already have 36 global macros."I have not encountered this issue. Are you sure you're talking about floating macros (which appear pink in the list) and not button macros (the yellow ones)?

Seems like a lot of people (myself included) are running up against the global button macro limit of 36. There are a couple ways to help save space: • Make some of your global macros character-specific, and just click "claim" when you log on to each new character. This will create a single macro that all your characters can use,...

I use MacroMagic, Cool addon! If it's working for you, that's great. However, if you want to save a bit of RAM, you can unload MacroMagic and achieve the same result within SDM. Here's how: * Click the "New" button, select "Script" and "Global". Name it "pre" and click Create. * Paste the following into the body of the scri...

I'm sorry, but I was not able to reproduce this bug. I even tried using my backed-up savedvariables file from before 4.3, and it's working fine for me. It still bugs me though; I know that it's a pain to have to re-type all your macros. If this happens to anyone else, please let me know.

Since the last update I experienced some "minor" problems with SDM. Firstly, as I updated it my whole macros disappeared into nirvana. I tryed to relog and deleted my cache, but to no avail. Nuin, I'm sorry that your macros are gone. Do you remember which version you were updating from? I would very much like to know this so...

Posted By: hypehuman
Kuroyi, are you sure you've updated properly? The new version does not use GetNumMacroIcons, and your icons should have been changed to a string from a number. If you are indeed using version 2.4.3, please PM me the file "WoW/WTF/Account//SavedVariables/SuperDuperMacro.lua" so that I can troubleshoot it. Thanks!Okay...

I just released version 2.4.2 which has some minor bug fixes, but without your SavedVariables files, I can't address the major issues that some people have been reporting. If you are having problems, could you please send me the file "WTF/Account//SavedVariables/SuperDuperMacro.lua" via private message?

I noticed that 2.4 doesn't properly do the collapse/expand all (top-left button). I am not seeing any issues with this button. Could you be more specific? Also, perhaps you could add a function to change the ownership of a macro to any other character. I will probably include this in a future version. I just have to figure...

Really fixed now :)
Posted By: hypehuman
Okay, I lied. That last update didn't fix the moving button issue, but this new one (2.4) does :) I tried to design 2.4 so that it would be much more user-friendly and self-explanatory. Hopefully it will make your lives easier and more fulfilling! I have been working very hard on improving this addon, and if I may be so bold,...

Welcome back Hypehuman, good to have you back. Seriously the best addon ever made. :DThanks; this comment really made my day :) I've just uploaded an update that fixes the moving button issue. I also suspect that it will fix the occasional bug where the macro list becomes unresponsive. Thanks spiralofhope for helping me narrow d...

I would like to see why yours is failing even at a shorter length, so if you don't mind, could you send me a private message and attach the file "World of Warcraft/WTF/Account//SavedVar...

Posted By: hypehuman
SDM adds some characters to the macro I believe, What's the number of characters it starts to fail?Yes, SDM adds a few characters to the beginning to the macro in order to keep track of it. This is usually 6 characters, so your macro is probably between 249 and 255 characters.
