NuI +, No player debuffs.
 

So last night I was in BRC with a friend, and since we know a lot of people are bad we took beams. Luckily I have DBM and have run the place so many times I know the visual alerts, because Nui+ does not show my debuffs anywhere. Had player/target hud on, no debuffs on that frame or my party frame or near my buffs bar. Am I missing something or does NuI+ really not show debuffs anywhere aside from boss/mob debuffs...

nUI shows all buffs and debuffs.


Lower Left - Player Buffs
Lower Right - Target Debuffs

I'm not sure whether the non player/target and simple huds make a difference but...
Hud Left - Player Debuffs
Hud Right - Target Buffs


In other words: .. bottom = good, hud = bad

A quick test with a simple quest mob that spurts out poison:

I noticed this problem in Firelands last night. I had the NO HUD and I could not see my debuffs. Do i have to have a HUD active to see debuffs???

yes, i usually use simple hud with the healthrace bar active.

Hi, I'm also having a bit of a problem in the DS fight with ultraxion. It has to do with the debuff "fading light". I am sure something very simple, and I will kick myself when I read the reply, but I cannot see that Debuff timer which is essential for a raiding DPS. If anybody could give me a heads up as to where to look for that, or what settings need to be in place. I would defer ever in their debt.

Are you using 5.07.23? The cooldown timers were broken by the 4.3 patch. The 5.07.23 update should fix that. (should)

What is also a problem that you can not read the debuff, so no description of the debuffs vorligt. One can see that you have a debuff, but which do not impact it has.

Sounds like you mean the tooltips are not being displayed in the hud. That is a deliberate default so that clickers do not have a problem when they play. If you don't click in the hud area when fighting then you can edit one of the layout files ( I forget which one at the moment ) so that they are enabled.

Is there no way to see player debuffs without the hud? Having to rely on another addon for just that one thing is kind of annoying.

I'd be interested in knowing if there is a way to see the debuffs as well. At the moment I am using Satrina Buff Frames for this. The added benefit is that I have also set up a frame for ToT debuffs as well since as a raid tank I need to be able to track debuffs and stack counts on my co-tank for a number of fights. SBF at least plays very nicely with nUI+ and has a small memory footprint but I've been trying to reduce my addons where ever possible.

Nope, looking at the layout files the NoHud setting is set up precisely for that purpose. To not have anything displayed in that area. Unless Scott feels the need to adding the display of auras in that area without a hud you would be relying on a possible plugin addon anyway to the add the facility. If of course that is possible code wise.

The easy solution to that is to use the "Simple HUD" mode and then use '/nui hud healthrace' to turn the health race bar off. That's pretty much as simple as it gets.
