nUI+ 5.02.06 Bug

Hi,

For me it is not working when I swap my talent spec, the bar doesn't reset properly and I have to reload the ui in order to change it.

Regards

Can you be a bit most specific than "the bar doesn't reset properly" ?

Are you getting any error messages?

Is anyone else having the same issue?

you are right xD, I mean that when I change from my first specialitation to the second one, I have to put /reload ui in order to see in my char the new specialitation correctly. I am a warrrior if I change from Fury to Protection the char bar still say fury but I am protection.

I can confirm that one if I understand properly.

My UI is doing the same thing on my Paladin. If I log into the game as Holy, the tag on my unit frame that says Holy shows correctly. If I swap to Protection spec, and look at my own unit frame again, It still states that I'm Holy, it does not seem to update to Protection. Once I perform a reload, the tag updates correctly to show Protection on my unit frame.

I've only seen this when I've been solo. It's also the only time I've paid attention to it :D So it's just a minor visual bug that does not impair any usability.

Ah.. yes... that's another thing all together... when you said "bar" I presumed you were talking about the action bars. I do have to fix the talent spec browser to deal with dual spec... that's something I haven't done yet. Before this patch, your spec was your spec so to speak. I haven't added hooks yet for detecting when you swap in dual spec.

No worries here, just a visual bug that doesnt affect playability.
It's actually funny running around seeing my tag as Prot and dropping 13-16K heals on my Pally :D

lol

I'm working on a fix for it as we speak... also begging for Bliz to do something to fix the talent browsing system since dual-spec really messed it up.

See if the attached file fixes it or not... just save it to [ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Units ] and let me know if it updates your talent spec when you change specs now.

.

Anyone test with that yet?

Vis 04-28-09 04:55 PM

I haven't tested it yet. I got it in my head that I wanted to do a fresh install of Windoze XP and I'm just now getting WoW downloaded and installed again, lol.

Once I'm back up and running with all my mods, drivers, etc I'll test it :)

*EDIT: Love Fiber internet connections, currently downloading the client at 1.6 MB/s :D

I can't test because I don't have any dual spec toons (in fact I only have the lock, no dual-spec needed, and the Priest, which I rolled to be strictly a healer).

On a side note, is this to fix only yourself or will it address other toons' dual-spec updates too? I've found this a bit irratating when trying to remember which of the 8 pali's is the holy one lol, and they are all listed ret or prot. I need this to know who to soulstone!

Unfortunately, this is only a fix for your own toon... I have yet to have found a mechanism for determining when other players have respec'd.
