Removing the black bar at the bottom

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to remove the black bard that is basically behind your mini-map, chatlogs etc.
It's the 1 that you see, even after using Alt+Z.

Thanks!

I don't think you can as that is a viewport area. Hopefully it is something Scott is working on for nUI 6. However, I recall the question being asked before and it may have been answered already, although a search for nUI viewport didn't come up with anything.

Ah here we go :

Maybe Scott can shed any more information on this area.

That is correct... it is not a black bar, it's an absence of the world frame being there. nUI uses a viewport, so that black bar is not "hiding" anything, the world frame was re-sized to make room for nUI's dashboard so the dashboard does not hide anything in the world frame.

Unfortunately it's not possible to change the viewport when you press Alt-Z because it will cause taint if you're in combat. So even then I can't reliably re-size the viewport when you hide the UI.

Is there a reason why the viewport is there? I wanted to make a full 50%-transparant UI but with the black bar it looks a bit stupid. :p

I just said why it is there in my last post... because moving the world frame prevents nUI's dashboard from covering anything important in the game world.

There's actually a FAQ on this subject here: Can I make nUI's dashboard transparent?

EDIT: If it matters any, nUI6 will allow you to change the viewport without editing anything. See this thread... http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=25808 -- you'll find screen shots there that show the GUI configuration tool for changing the viewport settings.
