is there a way to make the mini-map round? I have the map set to rotate so the way i am facing is always up. (makes it more easy for me to nav)

try /nui minimap round. From memory thats the slash command to do that. Also, you could use the GUI or LDB options to access the slash commands in a visual way.

Usually a person prays that their post on a forum for a mod is actually answered. Only for nUI are their people from the community fighting over being the first to answer someones question.

Just more proof that the nUI community is the best out there.

I agree! however i have come accross another lil thingie... in the screenie I see Omen and recount up at the same time... how is this done?

Be sure that you have Omen and Recount installed. Otherwise the plugin at the link above will not work.

Or, you could use Skada which does the same thing in one single addon rather than having both Omen and Recount. No plugin required for Skada... so that's two less things to install.
