Mysterious viking ship at Isle of Thunder
 

So I was doing dailies at the Isle of Thunder when I noticed what seemed like a large viking ship off the west coast, near the Court of Bones. It was moving, unlike the Silver Covenant and Sunreaver ships nearby. When I got closer, it disappeared. I used my water strider to look around on the water, but nothing. Shortly afterwards I saw it again near a similar spot, but as I approached, it disappeared once more. I never saw it again afterwards despite looking all around the island.

I did find a similar looking ship at the east coast (at the area that's still locked off), but it didn't move.

I couldn't find anything about it. Does anyone by any chance know more (or saw it as well)? It really intrigues me for some reason :p

Was this pre or post the 5+mb patch I got this morning?

I'm not sure. That screenie was taken at at 00:23 GMT+1. When I logged off about an hour after to hop to an alt on an other realm, I got booted off and had to apply the patch.

Maybe an anomaly that only appears right between patches... I'm on to something.

That ship on the eastern docks does indeed move it just takes a bit and it's full of trolls. I've toyed around in that unlocked area on my shaman using the goblin kite. That area through the big doors on the east coast is where you do the achievement "Platform Hero". You can do the achievement right now before it's unlocked if you can get over there and are bored enough.

It moves? :eek: I must investigate further!

Found it! It left its docking place just as I got there, and I followed it until it stopped again at somewhere in the southeast. It's been there for a while now.



Aboard is Beastcaller Tuk'wa, some conscripts and Pterrorwing.

I got attacked by an invisible troll too...



After looking up the beastcaller I found that the ship will apparently be used in future dailies. So far for the mystery! :p
