#showtooltip and new button highlights
 

Hi, I just do the basic macros, but one feature I use often is the red ? icon and #showtooltip command to get the real icon and tooltip for my macros. I've noticed that the new "proc" highlights and strobing buttons don't activate if they are macros with the #showtooltip in them. Is there another command I can use? I really like the new effects but also like my macros.

this won't show the icon lighting up when its a free cast like the normal icon

#showtooltip Pyroblast
/cast Pyroblast

or

#showtooltip
/cast Pyroblast

?

no I just tried it both ways and it doesn't work either way.

That's because the spell has been renamed to Pyroblast! with a ! at the end (On the beta servers, not live.)

He was asking if it's possible to have macroed actions
and retain the "christmas light" blinking actionbutton effect for proc abilities.

I consider this a feature because I hate those things :p

I've specifically macroed all such abilities with
#showtooltip
/cast spell
just to get rid of the shine.

If they 'fix' macros I sure hope they give us a way to disable it in a different manner.
