Upgrading to latest RDX
 

Hi Sigg,

How does one properly upgrade to the latest RDX versions when they are uploaded ?

I simply copied the latest ZIP file from WowInterface into my Addons folder but after doing that, I am unable to open any of my own packages.

None of the themes open either but I realize that many of those are probably not supported in the latest 'alpha' build.

I need my own packages though. I have years of work put in to those. :) Do I need to backup my packages first and then restore them ?

There are too many modification between RDX8 and RDX9

Some features will autoupgrade, but not all

And the internal names in the IDE has changed, for example, in RDX 8, when you add a frame, the id was his name, in RDX 9 the id has the prefix Frame_ or Button_ or Cooldown_ etc

This is why you may have some errors

I'm not trying to go from RDX 8 to RDX 9.

I'm trying to upgrade from the version of RDX 9 from a week or two ago to the latest one you uploaded a day or two ago.

Do you have any errors?

No errors at all. I just simply get the RDX circle in the middle of my screen, along with the default WOW action bars.

If I try to open any of my packages, or any of the other themes that I had before the upgrade, none of them open.
