thunder clap CD not showing on action bars
 

i am having the issue of the TC CD not properly showing on my action bar. All other CDs work fine but TC sometimes shows 6 sec and does not count down and sometimes it does not show anything at all.

That's rather odd... given my main is a prot warrior, I'm sure I would have noticed it if my thunder clap was not functioning correctly.

The 6 seconds is the normal cooldown, the 30 seconds is the countdown of the debuff on the target and no timer at all would imply it was neither. I can't recall a time that hasn't worked as intended.

Can you give some more detail about the circumstances?

its pretty much regular. there are issues with it not properly lightening up after cd is off too. I even tried changing its position on the action bar but no dice. its just TC and affect no other spells on my lock or warrior.

Hmm, if it is regular perhaps it is the way you are tanking. Can you give an example of how you normally tank your way through at the times this problem is happening.

Do you just have one mob you are fighting and constantly targetting ?
Do you multi target and jump between them after using thunderclap ?

Could you grab a screen shot just after you use thunderclap and attach it here as it may also help Scott see what is going on better.

When this happens, does your thunder clap appear on the target's list of debuffs in the HUD and does it show up in your cooldown bar in the HUD? It should have a 6 second timer on the cooldown bar and a 30 second timer on the HOT/DOT bar.

And yes... a screen shot would help a lot.

i was only warrior in grp. as can be seen from debuff bar i used TC 8 sec ago but the action-bar CD still shows 6 sec remaining and and the TC button is still shaded.

sometimes the button just grays and no Cd shows at all.

I also tried TCing alone out of combat and it had no issues.

That is very interesting .. debuff timer should be showing being the higher of the two numbers so it should be showing 22s instead of 6s.

Hopefully that helps Scott do some testing.

nah i have turned that feature off. my action bars just so the CD remaining i use the target debuff bar near by cast bar to track the debuff time remaining.

so my action bar TC should be lighted up and show no cd instead of showing 6 sec (which never changed) and being grayed out.

Ah, well maybe that will help Scott in his testing with those same settings.

Now that's an important clue.

I'm going to guess the logic for updating has a bug in it when the debuff timer has been disabled. I'll look into that.

just wanted to let you know this issue is still there in the .20 update. Any estimate on when it will be fixed? its driving me nuts. i keep spamming my TC even when its on Cd.

Hmmm... that was fixed, I had even tested to verify. I wonder if I broke it again. I'll check.

EDIT: /sigh -- okay, I've verified that I broke it again. I'll see if I can fix it again.
