Transparency?
For some reason anytime I search the forums I get a "Topic not found" error, no matter what it is.
That aside, I searched for transparency to see if there's a way to make the default layout see-through via the command-line (i.e. transparent). Wasn't sure if I'd have to get a custom layout to do that or if there was a nUI setting to do so. Also, are there more custom layouts somewhere other than the Downloads layout area? Love it so far and even though I just DL'd nUI for the first time yesterday I had already donated $$ because I knew a UI with continual development needs the support. P.S. I signed up for the newsletter to get nUI+ yesterday also but never got the confirmation email and I don't see it listed in the downloads area. |
Scott might be tied up at the moment and the completion stage is a manual procedure so may take a day depending on the time and all.
As to transparency, yes, it would be the case of downloading one of the custom layouts. I believe there is a transparent one around there somewhere in the nUI download section. |
I did see the mint one as shown here: http://wowinterface.com/downloads/in...ICoolMint.html
The problem I see is that the game screen doesn't actually go all the way to the bottom of the screen, is that how WoW is created? Is there a way to get that aspect ration to better fit a screen? I'm running 12080x1024 in windowed (full screen). |
The "blank" spot at the bottom of the screen is a viewport. It is set that way by nUI so the interface doesn't block any of the game world by having it render it in a smaller area.
I believe there is a way to adjust this setting though without having done a forum search I can't say for certain. I am positive that it has come up before as a question however. |
There's a FAQ on the subject here, actually: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=23344

Thanks for the info Spiel, the only time I have noticed it being a real issue is on some of the dailies for Uldum where you mount the tanks to bomb the soldiers. The lower left part of that play screen is un-viewable and thus un-targetable. Not a huge deal as there are plenty of other places to target but a little annoying at time.

Have you tried zooming the camera out? I can't imagine anything being so far away and in a corner than you can't see it unless you have your camera zoomed in very tight.
|
Yes, I am almost always zoomed all the way out. In the situation I mentioned though you have no zoom ability. It is a vehicle mounted view with no zoom and no pan/tilt. The screen is fixed and what you see is what you get.
|
Yeah, that quest is a nightmare to do because you miss that close spot that you just can't reach. It takes you a bit longer but all you can do is hit the few areas that are in reach.
|
You are exactly right and like I said originally, that is just a quick example of why I was asking about this to begin with. It's obviously not a huge deal but was something I wanted to point out.

Alt-Z is your friend.
:D |
