missing the ring around char n mini map
 

i turned everything off and still had this problem. i havent tried the settings a whole lot. i have tryed the box saying move the mini map into carbonite and still nothing. it makes me have to upload the old minimap on the top right. quests still work on carbonite. started happening with verson 3.1 and has coninuted thru 3.11. only started with something after that last update patch after wow ver. 3.1.

reset the global and quest options and reloaded still nothing is there something i need to do with the wow options. id like to add it wasnt happening at one time it was working great dont know what happened.

Your grammar is confusing the heck out of me, so I'll go by the title of your post and hope I understand the problem correctly. The new default for the Blizzard minimap when integrated with the Carbonite minimap is 100% transparency. You have to right click on the Carbonite minimap, select the minimap option from the menu that appears and change transparency to 0.5 which should make it work the way you're used to. Alternatively you can just hold down the ALT key to get the same effect. This got me too when I noticed my Gatherer icons had gone missing after the update. Thanks go to the addon author whom has already answered this question earlier today for someone else.
