Faction Language Converter

Has anyone figured out how to develop a mod that will translate Horde Common to Alliance Common and the other way around? It would be a very nice thing to be able to talk between each faction.. I know some people think this is stupid and imposible but there has to be a way to do it.. it will also bring a new way to play the game.

It is, and will get you a nice little ban.

It is. Completely and totally.

B. Rules Related to "Chat" and Interaction With Other Users.
10. Communicate directly with players who are playing characters aligned with the opposite faction (e.g. Horde communicating with Alliance or vice versa); or

OK that has to be the STUPIDEST TOS rule i have ever seen. Why would it interfere with game play if opposing factions cant communicate?

GrissomXIX 05-09-08 09:37 PM

The opposing factions are ENEMIES, it's bad enough when you have friends playing opposing factions and use Ventrilo to help each other camp and PVP because they aren't good enough to hunt and kill on their own. Horde and Alliance being able to openly communicate would do nothing but cause even more problems with harassment and is easily one of the BEST terms of use rules I have read.

Its called "preventing exploits". If my memory is correct, cross faction communication was able to be done in the early beta, however too many jerks decided to exploit this for their own advantage and ruined it for the rest of us. If something can give a player an unfair advantage, Blizzard will typically nuke it. If you don't like that, then find a different game to play. You don't own your character, you pay Blizzard for the privilege of using it. Otherwise I would suggest reading the ToS very closely.

It _IS_ impossible and there is _NO_ way to do it. There's only a few dozen, maybe hundred "words" in each language. They are _NOT_ translations.

If you had done a search on any WoW AddOn site, or any WoW fansite for that matter, you would have seen this question has been answered many times before. L2Google

Enough. Asked and answered, nicely.

The rest of the responses were absolutely not necessary.
