Friends/Guildies not always showing on map?
 

They don't always show on the full map (or minimap).

I can be standing right next to someone, and they won't even show...

Any ideas?

Guildies should always show up. Friends (not in your guild) will only show up if they are also using Carbonite. Also, if they are AFK / haven't moved in a while they won't show up.

Hmm - ok - will have to do some more checking then. I have guildies i've not seen - but will verify.

OK - right now, if they aren't in group, i don't always see guildies - even when they are out and about running quests and stuff.

If they are in a group/raid, seems that i see them all the time.

Yeah - I can confiurm that if they are in a group/raid they will always show with v3.001

But if they aren't seems very hit and miss

The only locations an addon can get from the game are people in your party or raid.

Guild and friend locations come from the location broadcast sent to you by guild or friends who have Carbonite running. For friends to see each other, they must be in each others friends list.

Also note that players can opt out of showing their locations with various privacy settings in Carbonite.
