yes i had this to, moment i logged in i had the original UI unit frames, and it seemed to do something to ur buff dispaly to.

Several people are reporting the party frame problem... no one has posted an error report, so I'm guessing it's a logic issue. I'm looking into it.

might i add that the frames do look super smexy, and i look forward to a good release of nui6

I appreciate the feedback on the look of the frames... I've spent a bit of effort on trying to resolve as many of the complaints on the existing unit frames as I could reasonably do.
Not sure if the change is going to cause more complaints than compliments or not. We'll see. :D |
rofl my guild master commented last night before logging for the night that he didn't think he liked the frames. But it was getting late so I couldn't ask him what he didn't like about it.
Personally I think they look pretty slick and can't wait to see what the finishing product will look like and how different peoples UI will be once they figure out how to change things to their liking :D |
Yeah -- two things that played into the new unit frame layout, heavily, was the need to account for the new Boss frames and the number of complaints I've had about the minimap and the focus frame sharing space.
So, I had to shorten up the space for the old frames to make room for the new ones. The bottom of the left side (in the solo panel) now holds the focus frame and the bottom of the right side holds the boss frames. The second issue that comes into play is the complaints about the raid and party unit frames being spread across both sides of the minimap, so the new panels put the player and targeting info on the left side and the party/raid info on the right side when not in solo mode. This means all of your unit info -- player, pet, focus, target, ToT and boss frames are on the left in one group and all of the party frames are grouped together on the right so healers don't have to try and watch unit frames on both side of the panel. Unfortunately, this leaves me with a little less space since I had to add the boss frames and not "reuse" the minimap area. That's going to be the biggest complaint I think. The thing I'm really anxious to hear about is performance in instances... that's the big issue I'm trying to address is the FPS leak problem. |

The unit frames look great i like them better but there is one draw back warlock pets you cant tell how much mana they have.

Can nUI6 unit frames be customized?
I'm probably going to add power bars to the pet and ToT frames... also need to add health and power to the focus frame.
In addition, once the HUD is back, that will also address those concerns. |

Is it intentional that you cannot right-click on a unit frame and use the "set focus" feature? Using the key-bindings works fine however. Other right-click functionality (e.g. setting raid icons) seems to work as well - it's just the set focus that doesn't work.
IMO the new UFs look great. I haven't had much time to play as much as I would have liked, but so far so good! Will provide more feedback once I have some more time. :eek: |
the set focus problem is resident in all unit frame addons. It's a protected feature that blizzard doesn't seem to like us to access on custom frames for some reason. Most people use a focus macro to resolve the issue.

In the first shot, the Focus frame isn't merging well with FuBar In second you can see that player portrait isnt showing, but shows when targeting self or mobs. This is from Solo, have yet to test with party and raid, will update once tested. Also removing the blizz default frames would help. |

Oh, and just noticed that mouseover info isn't working in the latest version and I am sure it was working in the initial version.

For now we're still using the nUI5 minimap, so the size hasn't changed yet. As for your portrait not being there -- '/nui rl' should fix it until I can figure out why it isn't initializing correctly. |
