nUI 5.06.15 saying it is 14

Removed the NUI folder as you requested and downloaded and installed a fresh copy of NUI+ this morning and on startup I got nUI 5.06.14 not as this said.

"Also, after installing this update, make sure that when you log in to WoW you are seeing the message "nUI 5.06.15 has been loaded" -- if you see a different version number, something is wrong." I checked the download and it is 5.06.15 so the zip file said and I removed all NUI related files from my system before I installed it.

Seeing the same thing here as well, no splash screen, and scrolling back up in the chat log indicates that .14 is loaded.

I also removed the /Addons/nUI folder, and reinstalled from the downloaded update, twice, with the same results.

Yea, I went and made sure that I downloaded the newest file from wowinterface and still got the same thing.

Just verified this myself - out of game, deleted nUI folder. Redownloaded .15 - extracted the nUI folder to Addons.

Verified that the nUI.toc shows .15

Displays in game as .14

Glad to know I'm not crazy.

Also to be sure I cleared my entire AddOns and loaded fresh. LIsted as .14 update loaded.

Thanks for the work on this interface.

Yeah -- this is my fault. I forgot to update the runtime version number. I updated the TOC, but didn't update the code.

So we don't need to worry about it then?

spiel2001 04-29-10 08:43 AM

Nope. I'll fix it in the next update.

I am still having issues with the frames being blank sometimes if I change toons a lot. Like if on hunter, then switch to bank alt to mage one will have issues.

Yeah, that tends to be when I hit onto the problem. Can be very annoying though when it ends up wiping my addons settings and resetting them to the defaults :D

I just wish someone could trap the error messages that generate on this newest bug so I can figure out what's causing it.

/sigh

I got no error message just the frames were blank, and some out of place. /nui rl fixes the issue.

Yeah, its starting to look like back to the old debugging days but messages will appear even while bugged to hard to test that way.

Seer 04-30-10 01:32 AM

Wouldnt it be possible that people who have this problem get a debug version that pretty much logs everything from nUI ?

Wouldn't mind helping out there, tho, haven't had this happening to me yet *knock on wood

spiel2001 04-30-10 04:09 AM

Yeah... the only problem with that is that it changes the code to do that and then you're not testing the same thing that's broken. However, Xrystal's pretty much doing that right now, so hopefully she's going to be able to pin it down for me.

/crosses fingers
