I just signed up through Kim and paid my annual fee but my end of service date is NOT 14 months from now???

The Carbonite site says "our support sites are closed". See the WOW Interface site.

Where you looked is carboniteaddon.com (the 2nd result) with the text "This is the home of CARBONITE®, a multi feature addon developed by game industry veterans to improve and enhance the game playing experience of World ..."

I still say I charge yearly fee's now :P
