USB Flash Drive Support

This program probably wasn't made for this but I think it'd be cool to add a feature in which you can carry your add-ons with you on usb flash drive and minion can detect when a flash drive with some ones "add-on profile" is on it so when they go somewhere else all their addon's are set up the same way they have them at home.

you know if you have a big enough flash drive you can install wow on it.

HEHE ... interesting idea ...

I was just recently installing my OS and my girlfriends iPod was plugged in. It gave me the option to install it there ... would have been interesting to try :)

I just reinstalled Windows 7 (7100) FROM a USB drive. It goes way faster than from a DVD. :)
DVD Install is about 30-35 minutes (sometimes longer). Installing from Flash drive 20 minutes tops.
Not exactly ontopic but I'm never on topic! :D

The reason it's way faster is just due to the fact that optical media access speed pales in comparison to USB. It's an issue with the media itself, not the drives.

At any rate, as far as a tangent goes, it would be really useful for Minion to provide a way to snapshot your UI (basically just save all of your SVs and then your AddOns folder). You could use this take this a bit further and provide a way to automatically install from the snapshot (i.e. installer, trivial to do with NSIS, or self extracting archive, or just some Minion-only package a la Mozilla addons). You could tie this in with the existing suggestion by having the ability to package/restore the snapshot to/from a single archive or simply copy it to/from a folder.

Well, I fix computers for my work(well, "work", I'm only 15, it's just a little company I set up) and I have an 32GB USB stick with on it installed all tools I need to fix computers, linux and much more tools also bootable and WoW. WoW from on USB stick takes 2 minutes(also depends on the USB stick) to boot, but from that point it is no longer any slower than when booting from the hard drive.

Just mount flash to Interface and WTF folders? (You can't play without flash drive on windows then and partition has to be NTFS)
