Your link didn't work because you didn't close the quotes. I've fixed it here.

As for the thread it links to, it provides a way to edit the LUA file to make it stop generating errors. This apparently works great for most people, but it didn't work for me--in fact it caused more problems. So I'm eagerly awaiting a real update.

Thanks for letting me know the link didn't work. Should work now. I added the closing quotes in the link. DOH!! Was just too tired to check it.

There's also a "fan update" for Carbonite posted Here on WoWInterface. (Ahhh, the link works. I checked!! :))

You could also try disabling any addon (that hasn't been updated yet) you are using that parses (not too sure that's the correct term) the combat log. Damage and threat meters, scrolling combat text, that sort of thing. Probably others, too, I'm just not sure.

Did you folloow the installation instructions? This one isn't packaged normally. When you unzip it you get a single folder called "Carbonite-4.2". Open it, then select and copy (ctrl + C) or, cut (ctrl +X), the four Carbonite folders. Navigate to your "World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\" folder and paste (ctrl + V) them inside the "AddOns" folder. That should be all you have to do to get it to work.

THANK You! This totally fixed my issue.. i was going through major Carbonite withdrawls.. i think i was having a "Gray Haired" moment at the time!
