The developer has discontinued work on Quest-Helper, and changed the license to GPL. Anybody who wants to fix it up is free to do so.

In my opinion, Carbonite blows QuestHelper out of the water! :D

Questhelper is better if you already have your own world map and minimap of preference that you prefer to use. I've used both addons on and off over the course of the past year or two, and both do that they're designed to do quite well. Comparing the two is pretty much landlines to laptops.

you know its built in now right? both are useless these days!

i'm using http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ProGuides.html + http://www.wowinterface.com/download...32-TomTom.html works great :)

Okay, that's your opinion. But why use multiple separate addons when one addon can do it all?? Carbonite has an awesome map that allows you to scroll out a little bit and get a topographical view of the zone, a TomTom-like piece, and a quest log/minimap that has much more versatility/functionality than any others I've tried using! UT, like I said in my original post, these are my OPINIONS......not FACTS! ;)

Don't you mean landlines to cellphones? ;)

Maybe so, but Blizzard's way of doing it is much more vague than either Carbonite's or QuestHelper's ways of going about it!

Many people prefer to use separate addons which do one job and do it well. The main reason for this, is that if your quest guide addon breaks, it won't effect the functionality of your map addon. (*ahem*) :)

Compared to QH, Blizzard's one is pathetic and rather basic. I can't stand it.

I also tried Carbonite for a bit but carbonite isn't as good as questhelper... Carb is a bloated addon in my opinion. Considering I already use Mapster and Sexymap, I don't need the extra bloat Carb brings to it.

However, that said, to answer the OP's question, there are at least 3 different people working on QH adaptions
