Custom icon images disappear after log out
 

So I created some custom icons, put them in a created Icons folder, and then created macros and assigned them the new images. That all seems to work fine, the images show up correctly. But when I log out, the images for the macros disappear, and I have to go back and reassign them every time I log off/on. Is this a common or known problem? I can give more details if needed.
I used Photoshop / Blipster to create and convert the custom icons.

Are they defaulting to the red "?" icon? Or are they just black?
