Ctprofiles alternative
Looking for an alternative regarding Ctprofiles, since theyve taken that out of the air.. Just want to be able to create fictional chars with gear and talent setups.
Thnx in advance, Ail.. |

last i checked you cant create a "WTB" setup for your char on armory. |
I think I heard that Alla has or is setting up something like that.

WTB? The armory does it better than whatever allakzahm or rpgoutfitter does anyway. |

Dear, I'm sorry, but his post hasn't been edited. If it had, it would say so at the bottom of his post. I'll edit mine above so you can see.

I know.. :p

still looking for an alternative :p

wowhead.com does talent builds.
|
so does the main wow site. But you still can't use it as a dressing room to see which gear affects your stats and talents in which ways...
I still really only know of CT_Profiles... |
Not directly related but worth mentioning as regard as planning your chars.
With the recent additions to the Armory (items, dungeons, bosses, and factions) appeared a REALLY nice feature in your character Profile: when you mouse over any slot item you will see a little arrow pop-up to the side. Mouse over the arrow and it will say "Find an upgrade". Click on this and you will get a list of items "related" to the one you were looking at and especially better items. Not only that but it tells you which kind of items they are (quest, rep, drop, boss, PvP...) and how/where to get them. Makes it really easy to build your wishlist ;) Now if we where to also be able to save those "planned upgrade" items you would not even remember ctprofile ever existed  |
I miss wishlists of CTProfiles, they hint at coming out with a version 2, but who knows when/if they will have the time, it was a really nice tool. So far I can only think of 4 different sites that have character profiles, but none of them have the ability to create custom setups or wishlists yet.
http://www.rpgoutfitter.com/ http://wow.allakhazam.com/ http://wowdigger.com/ http://rupture.com/ Technically any of them could be used to create wishlists by tinkering with the LUA files they use to update, but that would be a lot of work, and as far as I know none of them have anything in the works for better profiles. |
