Nui+ ugly, almost unreadable, when in windowed mode (1680x946)

Hi All,

I recently decided to give nui+ a try. After installing it I was generally pleased by new organization except that I play wow in windowed mode and nui+ takes up too much screen room and it's text is too squished to be readable. Also, the chat area is a tad too small for me.

The effective screen size I use (According to snagit, a screen capturing program) is 1680x946. My native screen resolution is 1680x1050 and my task bar is two lines "deep" (thus the loss of a 100 or so pixels vertically).

How do I alter nui+ so that it does not take up so much room? Is there a predefined alteration (plugin?) that would help or is this something I can myself without investing too much time in the project?

TIA

nUI6 will make that much easier to deal with. But, until then, you'll probably want to look here in these three FAQs...

There is a setting in your Video Options right below where you set it to windowed mode, where it will keep your window at the same aspect ratio as your in-game resolution. (This will also keep your buttons, etc. from stretching/squishing when you have it in windowed mode - which isn't nUI's fault, it's yours for resizing the window. ;) )

Any time you use something other than your monitors native resolution, whatever is on your screen is going to be out of proportion and look terrible. It's always best to use your monitors native resolution.

1. Set resolution to 1680x1050.
2. Check Windowed Mode.
3. Check Maximize.

Now it's windowed but no taskbar getting in your way. Also running at your native resolution. I do this all the time on my computer, because windowed mode speeds up alt+tab but the game looks better full screen. (Only recommended if your computer is above recommended specs.)

This is how I play, as well... and consistently get 40-50fps on my XPS laptop using those settings.
