Archy was causing this for me as well. Turning it off no lag now. Wondering if there is some interaction though because turning off carbonite also caused the lag to stop.

Is it possible to make the original bliz map show in the nonminimized view of the map (ie when you hit m) for all zones? On at least one of my chars the bliz map shows inside the carbonite map view...
