Chat text behind entry pane?

How do I move the chat pane (to enter text) above (or below) the text? I can't see what I'm typing because the text is behind it. I tried moving the window up, but the text is still behind it.

OK- I got it working...I have no idea what I did. I enabled the minimap mod and restarted instead of reloaded, and it seems to be OK.
