Think you can use "ThatJustHappened" for this purpose. It takes some configuration thought, but you can basically get it to say anything anywhere based on anything... (*) Almost.

I'd be more afraid that the updater gets haxx0red and ninjas your login than the addons it updates, worst thing they can do is delete all your items (which would surely suck).

HOW: OnLoad / OnEvent without XML

How can I make a .LUA script that does OnLoad and OnEvent without having to use those pesky .XML files...

(And not using ace either, i dont want that as a dependency for that this addon should do......
