Its no biggie as msbt still pops up the message so lets me know to press fireball but still have to look at the auras to identify if its still active.
Come to think of it, its probably the same as the buff duration counter not working unless you target yourself I guess.

That's correct... the proc would be an aura on you which will only appear on the action bar if you're targeting yourself.
