Hmm, what do you mean it isn't updating ? Not in your addon list ?
Do you have vista ? If so you need to make sure that it is being put into the correct directory/folder as with the Lich King expansion vista users were asked to move the files into a folder that enabled updates to work properly. Have a look and see if you have a folder in <Vista Drive>:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft. If you do then this is where your addons need to be put. If not then that isn't the problem in this case and you need to do a search for wow.exe and see if there are more than one folder for it. Perhaps it is being put into the wrong folder for some reason.
The GUI addon for nUI is working fine as far as I can see but you're not the first that are getting problems. If you are seeing it in the addon list what happens when you type /nui gui in game?
